Progress Hotel

Actually give the property 2 1/2 stars. I was early for check-in but the front door was locked and I did not see anyone. I think Hotel is CLOSED, out of business. Go to hotel next door and the man tells me to use the intercom on side. They should post that information on the Front Door! The Good, breakfast is included, shared with other hotel. Lots of BAD. 1. Mattress too soft and sinks in, needs new mattress. 2.Temperature control was disconnected on first night after reconnection the control did not work well. 3. Unable to shower well. Hand held shower is attached to the corner, could not get shower over my head, so took bath often. 4. Broken sink that was glued together at multiple points. 5. Smelled urine around the toilet, I think it was coming from toilet bowl brush? 6. Funky night stand switch. Switch is on the cord, not installed on the wall. Probably, after thought-didn't want to spend the money to install on the wall. The reason they keep the door locked is maybe that the Hotel is close to major train station. That is good, I choose this hotel for that reason. But, by the train station there are many homeless and the undesirables? The Front Desk personals seems to service 2-3 hotels simultaneously.

Spacious..clean..welcoming...room was spacious and modern... Breakfast was awesome...

The staff is friendly with great customer service and the room was spacious and quiet. It is right in the center of downtown Brussels next to a metro station, trams and buses.

I would stay here again on my next visit to Brussels.

Relatively quiet for a central city hotel. Room cleaning excellent. Close to ERC offices for reviewers. Shower was weak but didn’t leak.

Perfect location for train station and central position also. Room comfortable - breakfast satisfactory.

The property is very basic, hard to get to from the street there are two signs that read Progress Hotel so we were confused. In our room the carpet was in really bad shape with stains all over.

Convenient location,within 5 mins from the train station. Room was comfortable and quiet enough too have a good nights rest. The building was a bit tired, but perfect for a business stay. I would stay there again.

Friendly & helpful staff. Very good breakfast buffet. Great location. Good price. Only slightly negative comment is that the furniture in the room was pretty dated. No USB ports anywhere in sight. Also, this property does not offer any basic recycling of plastic bottles. No environmentally friendly which is a shame in this day and age specially in a city like Brussels that claims to be on the forefront of green energy.
