Village Hotel Bournemouth

Room temperature unbearable, broken aircon

Everything was super

Parking was easy and the bar was ok.

Checked in, not made aware of any wider issues at the hotel or with the room allocated, Went to the room to find the air con not working on the hottest day of the year 23rd June 2026, went to open the window and the blind fell down, room was like an oven, made reception aware and they said they will look into it, when i returned to my room after dinner, the blind was back up and there was a fan in my room, Air con still not working, i should have asked to move rooms but i did not bother, went to sleep and then woke up at 2am like a slow cooked chicken and I could not get back to sleep for the rest of the night, as it was too uncomfortable, Shame as recent experiences at the Portsmouth Village hotel have been good, which is why i choose the Village for my stay in Bournemouth.

The Tall Dark Hair Receptionist she was Maybe from Poland She worked on afternoons, The Owner of this Hotel should really look after this woman, Friendly Helpful She helped Us with a hair dryer that was missing! She made our stay there basically It's about being friendly and welcoming how hard is it ! Everything else was good, Swimming pool for kids! Food was ok in the morning! But That Receptionist I would only hire pll like her !

The Morning shift at that time a young girl pretty slim medium build, She was not just horrendously rude when we tried to ask to check in , But she had this hate on her face and quite racist! Unfortunately when was check out too she snatched the hotel card from my hands ! They was a guy next to her he saw it all. I kept polite i ignored as I was about to lose it! She made me angry! Her arrogance cold rude ,It's crazy! A staff like her should be instantly fired ! Unexeptable I The room wished to have a fridge as we came for the beach, !
