Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport Hotel

Excellent hotel next to the Dublin airport. My family and I stayed here the night prior to our flight. Lovely staff and food!

A great airport hotel! Staff were lovely and helpful. Lockers in the basement for luggage were super helpful as well. All in all, a great stay.

Proximity to airport is only plus. Hard to believe a traveler hotel has no A/C…they had a fan only. AND, no coffee service in the morning. Had to heat up your own water and have instant coffee. Gross. Never again. Food service was very slow…an hour…and that was at the “fast” restaurant. Had to modify a reservation and they charged 100 euro. NOT RECOMMENDED

Breakfast was included with Hotels.com (booked two rooms) only to find in the morning that the hotel had no record of this. They also offer a free shuttle (that you must book) to the airport. We made it explicitly clear that we had 9 suitcases and 6 people thus, it's likely we would need our own shuttle bus. They agreed. Again, time arrives to leave for the airport and they had filled the bus with several airport crew. There was no support with loading the baggage despite there being little to no room on the shuttle. The driver response was you will need to re-arrange the crews luggage to fit yours in.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We ate at one of the hotel restaurants and despite it being busy, our waitress was very attentive and we enjoyed our food. Our hotel room was clean and spacious. We appreciated the close proximity to the airport and our shuttle driver was very kind and made sure the ride was comfortable.

Room was very hot. Staff gave us an additional fan. The Dyson one in there did not oscillate

Airport shuttle service is very convenient. Also, very easy to go back and forth to city center. You need to take only one bus, and the bus stop is a very short walk from hotel. The cons I’ll list is that the lobby looks a bit run down, but still acceptable… room are good and in very good condition though. No AC, it wasn’t a big inconvenient because the temp at night was around 15 -17 Celsius when we stayed, but I can’t imagen during a really hot night.
