Hotel Don Carlos

Stayed for one night on route to southern Spain, The staff were extremely helpful, the room was spotless and the gardens wonderful. Ate in the hotel and the food was cheap and very good. The breakfast in the morning was brilliant and I passed comment that I liked frittata and within a few minutes he brought me a freshly cooked one which was excellent. When I travel over there again I will definitely stay there again.

Don't stay in this hotel. Horrible! Too far from downtown. There's nothing nearby. Rooms were very small. Air conditioning did not work. We requested a room change. Beds very hard and uncomfortable. I could swear bed had bed bugs. After staying here three nights I had multiple insect bites all over my body.

Even thought it was not right in Pamplona it was only about a 15 minute bus ride and the prices were excellent compared to others in Pamplona. We really liked the room, it was very spacious and nicely decorated with a large bathroom. The front desk staff were extremely helpful.

Stayed here for eight days as a part of a study trip to Pamplona. We took our classes in Foro Europeo, that is nearby this hotel, so the university recommended us to stay here. This hotel is good for that: maybe for business trips or to have a place to stay in a short trip to Pamplona. But if you really want to experience Pamplona, stay closer to the city center. To get to the city center from Don Carlos, you have to take a taxi or a bus. I am the kind of traveler that likes to walk, and you have nothing interesting nearby Don Carlos. The hotel and rooms are average. I would say the restaurant is nice, I had dinner a couple of times there the nights I had to get up early the next day. Service was great, the staff was friendly and helpful. But if you want to experience Pamplona, stay in the city center.

I liked a lot this hotel because the people was very nice and the place super clean. My only issues with it were that I needed a taxi at night because the bus stop was in a very dark area like a mile away from the lobby, the heater was annoyingly on all the time and it was a little difficult to get my room cooler while outside was in 40's (I opened the windows - no big deal!) and the mattresses are a little dated and the first days I felt it in my back. Aside from that is one of the most amazing places I've been with a true definition of hospitality.
