Rodeway Inn Augusta South

It's not the Hilton, And it's not the Hilton price either. I was very happy there. No complaint!

I called ahead to alert them that I'd be checking in late and when I arrived they had cancelled my reservation. I also booked a smoking room and was not given one and told to go outside to smoke. There were multiple people walking around and loitering outside and we didn't feel very safe outside. We saw a roach in our room within minutes, but only one and were too tired to bother finding somewhere else. We hung our bags from the hangers and settled in. We heard a lot of commotion outside around 3am. Our safety latch was busted like someone had kicked the door in previously. We also had to provide a cash deposit to complete the rental. The breakfast was sad, not even any juice. Place was everything you should expect for the price.

It is an old hotel and is in need of a renovation. The rooms are very "tired".

The service was great. The people were kind. The bed wasn't as kind. However, not a bad place to stay.

The room reeked of cigarette smoke smell and the clerk was extremely rude.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here

I requested a late check-in, so we arrived at the hotel after midnight. As I walked to my room a car of "gangsters" followed us to our room. They proceed to get out of their car and initiate small talk with us. Thankfully we got them to leave right away, but that freaked us out as I'm sure they were looking to rob us. Our first room smelled of marijuana smoke and we had to request a new room. When we got to the 2nd hotel room, the hand soaps were already opened. There was an inadequate amount of towels, I found a small roach in the bathroom and the remote to the TV didn't work. I was extremely dissatisfied with this hotel. So much so that I cancelled the remaining portion of our hotel reservation and found another hotel to stay in. The only thing good about this hotel was the staff. They were nice about changing our rooms and was also very nice about getting my refund.

Rather rough part of town. Furniture very rough shape. Toilet and drains plugged. Cream cheese was in brick form, who knows how many people licked the knife and reused. Top lock broken. Room had a strange smell that I have never smelled in a hotel before. I have stayed in a couple rough hotels before, this wasn't the worst. At least the food wasn't moldy.

Room spelt awful. Blankets were stained shower was dirty.. wouldn’t stay again

The service was horrible. The front-in staff needs to be retrained in good customer service. The hotel is poor and losing money. We were given our room tickets in pieces of scrap paper. When I asked where the little ticket folders were, she said they ran out. Wow! Then, she could see we were tired (we had checked in at 10:30) and had just parked a Budget rental truck in the parking lot, she gave us the rooms the farthest away from the hotel. Then her creepy father/husband was walking around the hotel in his grimy bathrobe. And the key did not work in one of the rooms. When I went back to complain, she told us to leave the hotel. When I asked for a refund, she said I had to talk to Hotels.com. When I asked Hotels.com for a refund, they said the hotel refused. DO NOT STAY HERE. These folks need to understand that customer service is the only edge they have while there are, literally, hundreds of other hotels to choose from.
