Everything about are stay was amazing! If there is a word that goes beyond amazing, the staff is worthy of it! Juan Carlos, Cynthia and Lazaro made our stay comfortable, enjoyable and above all else… MEMORABLE. They took us at the restaurant 20 mins before closing after a long travel day and made our night. The cafe next door is so convenient… in fact, everything you need is nearby and the staff offers great suggestions. I’ll be staying here again!

Very lovely hotel to stay in. It is a very beautiful property with very attentive staff. Gym is quite nice and the room are very relaxing. Happy to have stayed here during my stay in CDMX and would recommend doing the same

We must have stayed nearly at the same time and probably right next door (105) to the reviewer who had such a difficult stay. Our experience was nothing like hers, everything in our junior suite worked great and our room was cleaned every day without us putting out a sign. And no smells but plenty (and I do mean plenty!) of noise from the very hectic zocalo. We did find that the doormen (especially Yael!) were much more customer service oriented than the front desk. How frustrating that they didn't correct the problems she was having! Luckily we didn't need anything from reception. It did feel like we needed to "discover" amenities rather than being told about them. The windows are new and effective at reducing the sound from the square but this is not a place for light sleepers or those bothered by noise. The breakfast buffet is free if you book direct and very good for a hotel. Just not as good as all the amazing food of CDMX so definitely get out there and grab some tacos instead. It is very convenient to grab something quick before heading out on a tour though. Between that and the free water, sodas and snacks in the lounge, the hotel is a good value. The main reason I wanted to write a review is I could not find anywhere that talked about the "balconies" outside the junior suites and suites. There is no longer any balcony at all, I think the new windows took up the few inches of space that you maybe could have squeezed onto before. I was a little bummed because people watching is a favorite activity and I would have spent a lot of time out there. But our stay was still excellent, just know that Centro Historico and this hotel in particular are very bustling and lively. Also you need to walk at least a block to your taxi/uber because the road in front of the hotel is closed to traffic.

The Gran Hotel exceeded our expectations in every regard. The rooms were well maintained and very comfortable, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. One of the best highlights was daily breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Alejandro and Octavio in the terrace were great each day. Highly recommend.
