Amazing 5 star experience from check in right up until check out! We were greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival while the porter took our luggage to the room. Once we finished our cocktail we were taken to our room and shown where everything was. All staff in the hotel were super attentive. The restaurant is amazing. high quality food with a menu that changes slightly every night, so that there are new options if you stay and eat in the on-site restaurant for multiple nights. The Yoga class in the morning near the river is a must! Gardens are well maintained and the rooms are super clean and we also had nightly turn down service. Tealight candles await you every night. The rooms have a beautiful scent as well. It is a 25min drive into the heart of Port Douglas but given the quality of food and atmosphere we found that we didn't want to leave the hotel. The Mossman river is peaceful and there were not many mosquitos around the resort which is great! A truly relaxing experience where every guest is treated like royalty! Do not hesitate to stay at this hotel!

The Silky Oaks Lodge was the most romantic hotel we have ever been to. The setting of the lodge is within the rainforest and along a beautiful river. When we opened the door to our tree house, we were greeted with mood lighting, lit candles, wonderful smelling diffusers, and music. The tree house was exceptionally clean. The staff were all very nice and the food was very good. The lodge has a small beach billabong area that was incredible to swim in with calm clear waters and sandy areas to sit. I highly recommend staying here once in your life! It made our trip to Australia unforgettable

Unbelievably the most amazing and relaxing place. Attantion to detail was supurb. The Spa treatment - incredable. They made my daughter who was in a wheelchair feel very comftable. The rooms, the food, the forrest and staff made it a very special two nights we cant wait to return.
Very relaxing. The treehouse are very special and you really feel you have your own special spot in the Rainforest. Staff were always helpful and nothing was ever a problem. Eating in the restaurant with it’s own view o& the forest and river was also special and unique. You feel you are transported a million miles away from the hectic world we live in
Gorgeous resort,set amongst the rainforest. Pool area is stunning and designed to compliment surroundings. Restaurant and lounge dining food were delicious, breakfast included was great with option of ordering off menu or buffet. Rooms were well appointed, but be mindful no wifi in room and no tv in room, but wifi available in public areas and entertainment room with tv, if you are wanting. Very nice place to wind down and take time to relax.
From start to finish it was fabulous. The staff are super friendly and charming the minute you arrive. Nothing is too much trouble and they upgraded us to a larger treehouse as there were 3 of us. Everything is just stunning and lives up to the website photos. We had champagne cocktails delivered by the swimming holes and sipped them as we were floating around in the river which is just as crystal clear and beautiful as pictured on the website. We paddled canoes on the river too which was a bit of fun. Top marks all round.
Got to unwind for a weekend at silky oaks and we'll definitely be back. The room wasnt ready at the check-in time and unfortunately the masseuse was fully booked meaning my partner and i had to go elsewhere (a main reason why i booked this accomodation). Not things i would expect from a 1k a night hotel but everything else was perfect. The lodge, staff and location all contributed to a very relaxing weekend.
The attention to detail at this hotel is one like I have never experienced before. To lighting candles in our room before arrival, a box of chocolates on the bed, the cookies left at our door after dinner, and the candles lit around the spa in the evening. This place was so relaxing, I did not want to leave. Am already planning another stay here. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting some peace, quiet and relaxation.
