"Protea Marriott Dar es Salaam.....class"

I love this place. Ive been working at a different hotel all week but the venue was busy, commercial, touristy busy. The Protea Marriot Dar es Salaam is just old school class. The staff are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble. Food - excellent. Rooms - lovely Value for money......no question. I will always come back here

"i travelled for business, but felt at home at the hotel, it was a good base to stay."

the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, from the early morning checking at 03.00, to arranging transfers and taxis with efficiency and care, to overall attentiveness and service excellence. even the GM of the hotel came to personally introduce himself, which was appreciated.

Breakfast was ok but too heavy on the Indian cuisine. Perhaps a mixture of Indian, African and others will go a long way in improving the monotony of eating breakfast with always the same ingredients. Overall it wasn't bad

The building needs some repairs as it's looking rather unkempt since my last stay there 2 years ago.
