Holiday Inn Express & Suites Port Charlotte by IHG

First I want to say with exception of day manager, the staff was absolutely wonderful! So very nice and kind!! Problems I had and did address with day manager who wasn’t very nice about my concerns. I had to have my room key reprogrammed everyday. I was told this was a chronic issue with room I was in and he was aware but did nothing to fix it. Coffeemaker did not work and I let them know everyday but nothing done til I actually took it to the desk. Had a relapcement for a day and that one worked but then the original was put back in and did not work and manager tried to argue with me about it. My safe had to be reprogrammed. It was a constant battle and exasperating, especially knowing these have been issues in the past and nothing done about it. Again, the remainder of the staff were fantastic people!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Port Charlotte for 4 nights while in town for a family emergency. It was nice to go back to the hotel where the front desk attendants were friendly and very helpful durning our stay. I would definitely stay at this property again when we come back into town.

Breakfast serving lady is not friendly. No food ( Breakfast ) in the dining area even around 7:30am . When ask for food , her response was “we are out”. Clearly management is “Out of Manage” Never staying there .

I like the location and ease of going places in the area

The lady at the counter was very nice and friendly. When I gave her my name, she welcomed me warmly and got me checked in right away. My room was clean and tidy and the king size bed was very comfortable. I’d stay in this hotel again and without hesitation.

Had a wonderful stay here, upon entering the room was very nice and clean, We had one of the 3 balcony rooms, with king bed. Gorgeous view . Was nice to sit on the balcony in morning and have my coffee. Breakfast was good as well. Hot and cold items. The bacon was cooked perfectly (for me). We used the pool twice. Was very refreshing on a hot afternoon and very clean as well. All in all it was the perfect stay. Will definitely stay there again. Already planning another trip to that area. Loved it !!!

Friendly staff - all greeted us with smiles or hellos. We had driven all night (14 hours) and arrived at 10 am - and were able to check into our room. Appreciated that they were so helpful and kind. Room was clean and comfortable.

The fan in the bathroom it wasn't working at all so the bathroom it was really humid

Pros: wonderful accommodating staff in all areas (front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping) . Great water pressure in the showers, very soft and comfortable beds and pillows, yummy breakfast, very clean and warm pool. Cons: my sheets were dirty and had to get them changed when I arrived, the floors looked dirty (I think because of the age of the hotel), rooms not very quiet (could hear our neighbors having sex -- that really was awful), had to change my own light bulb, and water did not drain very well in the tub.

Clean room, excellent breakfast, friendly helpful staff
