Renaissance Sharm El Sheikh Golden View Beach Resort

The worst food, ever! Buffet was poorly set, everything had the same taste, except for their italian restaurant which needs special reservation. Watch out for marketing lines such as "ocean view" - they say you'll see the ocean but don't say how far it actually is from your window! Reception was rude and impatient. Activities team was lazy, tired and worthless to engaje guests.

Excellent stay assisted by super weather at the end of January. The resort is of a terraced design although walking is easy via steps and golf buggies regularly circle to ferry people around. 2 very large pools (one heated one not) and an attractive beach area with a jetty allowing decent coral snorkeling. Staff were very good across all hotel areas. Particular mentions to Kareem (lifeguard) and Ismail (lower pool bar) who made sure we had a wonderful stay. Do venture out of the resort - there are many excursions. Common sense top tip: ensure you understand the detail what's included and what's not...prices for seemingly the same experience can vary considerably.

The resort has good accommodations with comfortable rooms, and the beach is a positive highlight, with a well-organized structure and towels readily available. Unfortunately, the food experience was disappointing. While there are several dining options, the quality did not meet expectations, and cleanliness was a recurring issue, as we found dirty plates and coffee cups. We also tried some of the other restaurants within the resort, which were acceptable at best, but none stood out positively.

It is a highly recommended hotel, especially for families with babies. The food, animation team, and overall atmosphere are excellent, particularly in the morning and evening. There are numerous pools where both children and adults can swim comfortably. The beach offers stunning coral reefs with a wide variety of colorful fish. Of course, I cannot fail to mention the security staff, who are extremely professional and well-trained.

Last night I returned from my first trip outside of Europe, aside from the USA. The Renaissance resort has absolutely exceeded all my expectations. The rooms are large, luxurious and comfortable, with a beautiful view. Don't get me started about the beds and the linen. My bed at home just didn't feel the same anymore. The resort, rooms and facilities like the spa/sauna are clean, and everything is maintained very well. The buffet restaurant offers plenty of options, and has a lot of different menu items each day (Mexican night was the best). I love falafel, and there was plenty to be had. Expect loads of different salads, fruits, vegetable (curries), rice dishes, fish, meats, roasts, and more. The (alcoholic) drinks are good and plentiful. House reef is really pretty as well, although we had some bad luck with the wind, so it wasn't open each day. The swimming pools were nice. There's plenty to do at the resort, and it's easy to get off and explore the area. Nightlife entertainment is nearby, you can get there by foot, but there's also resort-organized trips to different parties each night. Booked two trips through the resort. First one was to the Blue Hole, which was amazing - I was almost the only one in the water. The second one we went quad-riding, where we really got to floor a quad in the desert (fun). The absolute stars of the resort are the staff. I've never had the pleasure of such a professional, friendly and involved staff on previous holidays. They take care of you extremely well and get to know you and your preferences in no-time. Special shout-out to Beshoy, our ever helpful man from reception, Mohammed, who helped us with our excursions, Sami our housekeeper, Momo from the diving center, Sam the spa-man, Ola and the rest from the animation team, the clinic doctor for helping my friend navigate an ear injury and hospital visit during the trip (and the associated insurance finances, no upfront costs, travel insurance was accepted at the hospital), and last not least, our legendary Zin Zini bartenders Rami and Mohammed. (Sorry if I messed up and forgot some names here).

I'm a regular to the reniassance, I've beem coming 20 years now. Lots of upgrades and changes mostly for the better. Rooms have all been upgraded and modernised. I highly commend mohammed amwar front desk manager as he's always on hand for any issues. Ramy for his amazing cocktails and friendly fast service. Khaled who runs the pool area, always makes sure that guests are happy. I had my birthday 🎂 cake on the beach and shared it with the guests and staff. I would say that the service was terrible in the lobby bar. I walked in and there was around 6 people in there x2 bar staff. I stood at the bar for a good 10 minutes whilst he was making a drink for someone else and he never acknowledged me and I was the only one stood there. Never asked what drink I wanted. After 10 minutes another couple walked in and he shouted over to them and took there order whilst I was still waiting to be served. Still not acknowledging me still stood there. So in the end I just walked off and never went back to the lobby bar for the rest of my stay. Such a shame. I also encountered some problems with room service. This was the only service issues I encountered. The staff in la casa and the chef are probably the best staff I've had the pleasure of seeing. Always on hand to help, most the time the staff remember the drinks order from the previous times ive been in which was nice. The chef even came around to me after I had eaten to see how the meal was, this was a joy to see as it's shows that the guests are important and takes on board comments and feedback the cleaners do a fantastic job of my room extremely clean and organised my toiletries which was sweet . I did tip them half way through my holiday and at the end as they work extremely hard. Do not use the taxis outside the hotel, charge a fortune. Overall I had such an amazing stay that I'm bringing my father again in may 2026. He wont chose a different hotel other than this one in sharm. Thanks for everything and see you all soon.

Ottima struttura, con accesso diretto al pontile per poter ammirare La barriera corallina! Staf molto gentile e disponibile, ambiente pulito e ben curato, veramente consigliato per chi cerca una struttura dove rilassarsi e allo stesso tempo essere vicini alla Old Sharm.
