Novotel Reading Centre

Room was a nice size. Clean and comfy with a view over Reading city centre - not facing the train station. Breakfast was great! Front desk stuff who checked me in were super helpful and friendly (Marissa and Yassin!)!

We visit Reading often to see family and friends, and chose the Novotel for our latest trip, which we used to stay in a lot. Lucy (I think that was her name?) on reception when we arrived was professional, courteous, warm, friendly. That service was emulated throughout our two stays by everyone we encountered. I love the compact, but efficient/effective bathroom layout, comfortable beds and pillows. Restaurant was good, bar much enjoyed. Some rooms are more modern than others, but older ones are no less comfortable. Will return to the Novotel, which is in an excellent location for the train station and right in the town centre.

Aircon not working, cooler not cool, shower faulty.

located very much in the center, yet the hotel i snice and quiet, no sound from other rooms or outside spacious room, comfortable bed room was fine, one bad light spot did not work kettle in the room for making tea and coffee, they did not provide bottled water but later I found out there was the option to ask at reception for filtered water

serve yourself filtered water would have been nice
