Star of the Sea Guest House

Very quite and relaxing place. Host was kind and flexible. Location was excellent. Rooms clean and very quiet.

It had a private entrance and parking for our large truck. It was clean and spacious. It's close to places to eat, shopping, and the beach.

This was a strange experience. No one appeared to be at the hotel when I arrived. I called the number left on a sticky note on the front door.?Owner answered and told me how to get into my suite. Room was not as pictured. Basement suite, needed to keep all curtains closed because of direct views into my suite from the street level. Generally clean except for stove, oven, and bathroom tiles, tub, tub fixtures. Poor pressure in shower. 5 day stay. Housekeeping services consited of having garbage emptied once. 2 towels provided for stay. Narrow water view through an unkept back garden was my view. The suites on the upper floors would have been nicer. My unit was "well worn" Weird choice on cable TV. Young pleasant girl helped show me how to use the shower.

Convenient; close to water; view is great. Everything available to make stay like home. Extremely comfortable bed. Good "starter kit\" for first morning in the apartment.

The view and location were spectacular! The suite was spacious and well equipped. It was a bit noisy though as located next to a busy road and there was some dried smoothie or milkshake on the wall by the fridge that was not cleaned after previous guests.

Close to the pier and Marine Drive, easy access to the main ammenities

Nice place - it's rooms in a large house, very clean, nicely maintained.

This was a very disappointing experience for us. I have been at Bed and Breakfasts before and there was absolutely no customer service. We didn’t see anyone except a young teenage boy who didn’t have social skills or professionalism. There was no heat in one of our rooms and it was snowing outside, and there was absolutely no breakfast, despite an email saying there would be muffins and fruit in the fridge. We checked our mini fridge and the big fridge and there was not a trace of food except a box of crumbled Chinese baked good that had been half eaten. I don’t understand how we weren’t greeted, told anything about our stay and were left to figure out everything for ourselves. The property is a beautiful location and has great potential but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
