Star of the Sea Guest House

Beautiful view from the cute little terrace. It’s in a fabulous location near a strip of restaurants that included a wonderful coffee shop (Laura’s) and amazing pizza (Emelia’s). Like the best!!! A short walk for those in shape to the main beach area, pier and restaurants. The room had coffee, creamers, wine glasses, opener, fridge. Unfortunately, it’s furnishings are dated otherwise it would be a 5.

I booked this propery as a B&B, as the ad was that i found on Expedia. This should of been made clear that it is no longer that. This is no more than a 2 star hotel or whatever it is. There is not much included, no ice machine, no drink glasses, no extra towels,( I had to ask for them and find the closet where they are stored. ). The patio door is very difficult to open, the deck chairs are filthy. The general cleanliness is poor, base boards dirty, the bathroom tile grout needs cleaning, dust bunnies. The free parking is on the street. I would not recommend this place.

The sea view suite was cute, cozy and very clean. My wife and I would stay there again we do hightly recommed Star of the Sea guest house, as a place to stay near the sea. William Lewis

False advertising. Misleading reviews, or a lot has changed since this reviews were made. Would not recommend

I like the safety and convenience of places to eat and explore. I’d say the head board is squeaky. If I’d been here with my husband then I would have felt shy about the noise.

Reservation email with door code was not sent to me... awkward fumbling and waiting to be allowed in. Shower gel empty, shampoo looked extremely old and nasty...had to rummage around downstairs to find other. Temperature of room could not be adequately controlled...awful sleep with room way too hot. No instructions provided with how to use multiple TV remotes... awkward fumbling to use TV. Only one cup provided for coffee...had to fumble around downstairs looking for another cup. Water pot used for boiling water still has some partial water in it...proves cleaning staff not too attentive. Toilet water running when arrive...toilet handle stuck. Noticed this happened again after using toilet... property must have high water bills with constantly running water (combined with overall high uncontrolled heat in room and overall premises).

We had reserved a king room with a soaking tub but were sent an email with check in instructions for a different room with a queen room and regular bathtub. There was no staff on the premises to talk to and we didn’t have a strong wifi signal so we couldn’t call or email to ask why we didn’t get the room we requested. Also a bit disappointing that it’s called a Bed & Breakfast but there was no breakfast. And no cream for the in-room coffee. All in all, it was fine but we will probably look for another place on our next trip.

The family room was perfect for us. Decent living room with 2 couches and kitchen. Loved having a legit electrified toilet seat with bidet and fan. Comfortable king bed. We liked the private sitting area outside and our own parking spot. Only downside was no view in that room.
