Hotel Palazzo Murat

Our stay at Hotel Palazzo Murat was 10/10. The rooms were magnificent, the breakfast superb and the staff accommodating. The food at the adjacent restaurant (part of the hotel) was the best I had throughout my stay in Positano. The location was perfect too, close to everything.

There is no lift at this hotel, however this didn't bother us and the staff do bring your suitcases up. There is a disabled seat lift though!

My wife and I just returned home from our trip to Italy. In celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary, we went to Lake Como and the Amalfi Coast. We ended our trip with staying at Hotel Palazzo Murat in Positano and could not have hoped for a better way to end our celebration. From the beginning, the hotel manager, Leonardo, and the staff were welcoming, informative, helpful, and caring. The beauty of the hotel and its amenities alone could have been enough, but the wonderful staff and incredible food, solidified this hotel as one of the best on the coast. We were sad to leave but excited for the day we will return as we've come to view this place as "our new home away from home"!

The staff were welcoming, extremely helpful and friendly.The location is very central. The hotel building and the rooms are great.

The breakfast is substandard. No natural muesli. Scrambled egg and bacon too cold to enjoy. Orange juice is included but no other juices unless you want to pay an extre €11. Likewise omelettes etc were an extra €20 on top of the €35 for a baic breakfast.. At restaurant you couldn't see the winelist.... a so called "sommelier" helped with wine choice. They did not have knowledge beyond what was on their tablet. Pour size 75ml took me by surprise. Other poor behaviour in uncorking was witnessed

The on-site restaurant, Al Palazzo, serves exquisite Mediterranean cuisine with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, all in a charming garden setting. Breakfast, featuring a delightful selection of pastries, fruits, and Italian specialties, is a perfect way to start the day. Location-wise, Palazzo Murat is unbeatable. It’s just a short walk to Positano’s main beach, Spiaggia Grande, and surrounded by boutiques, cafes, and restaurants, making it an ideal base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. Even after returning, this hotel continues to exceed expectations. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or coming back like we did, Palazzo Murat offers an unforgettable stay, combining history, luxury, and outstanding hospitality in one of Italy’s most iconic destinations.

This hotel was absolutely incredible. From the incredible hotel room, food, pool and let’s not forget the best service I’ve ever had in my life. 10/10 would recommend and I can’t wait to stay here again. The manager was exquisite. Extremely helpful and nice.

This hotel was amazing. I booked it from Japan, hoping to enjoy cocktails and breakfast in its beautiful courtyard. The gorgeous room with high ceilings, the welcome champagne, the cocktails enjoyed with live music, and the lovely breakfast—all exceeded my expectations. When my husband asked the manager about running routes, he kindly provided detailed information, and later even looked at the photos he had taken upon his return. Thanks to this hotel, all my memories of Positano are filled with happiness.
