Hampton Inn & Suites Jacksonville-Airport

I was in Jacksonville for a few days, stayed at this hotel the first night because it was close to the airport and I got in late. I left a jacket in my room when I checked out (I got in about 1:00am and left early the next morning). It was an expensive jacket. I called over the next few days a couple of times, while I was still in town, but got the run around and no manager when I asked for one (had to leave a voicemail, which was never returned). After I got home I continued to call and finally got ahold of the "Director of Operations," who sounded really helpful at first, but all she really did was pass me off to the housekeeping supervisor, that said she would have to "investigate." She called me back the next day and said she talked to the housekeeper who cleaned my room and she reported that no jacket was found. This was told to me matter-of-factly, with a tone that implied the housekeeping supervisor didn't really care and I was just SOL. I travel frequently and occasionally have left an item behind when checking out. In my experience, it typically only takes a phone call and they happily tell you they held your item for you and will ship it to you. Apparently, this hotel and its management thinks it's acceptable for their housekeepers to just keep what they find and customers who left an item behind can go pound sand. I realize it's my fault for leaving my property behind. However, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a Hilton-branded hotel to have a policy for holding items that have been left behind by customers. I don't expect this review to change anything, and I won't ever stay at this hotel again, so it won't matter to me anyway. But this review is just to let everyone know the quality of service you're getting for your money at this hotel. There are many other options for hotels that are close to Jacksonville airport that might appreciate their customers a little bit more.

I booked and paid for two nights in advance because of traveling relatives coming in for graduation. When they arrived at hotel there was no reservation found by the attendant. I called Booking. Com who told me to ask the attendant about the reservation She told me she could not find anything under my name and contact the agency which made the reservation. After many attempts to locate the information and speaking with Bookkng and the hotel I had to find another location to reside. I asked for a refund and have not had a response from anyone.

Worst experience of my life, drove 12 hours from Richmond with 9yr old son, 7yr old daughter, 79yr old father in law and wife to Jacksonville airport Hampton, got there around midnight, booked a room thru expedia for room that sleeps 5, gave me a room for 4. Go to front desk blame it on expedia and want more money...expedia is third party so their problem, I disagree, tell her I want her name for complaint, and her nanagers name, told I am not staying here, cabcelled reservation, I told her I didnt want to cancel, she did anyway and told me she was calling the police to have ne removed, called Hilton customer service while in the lobby to complain about the absolutely i appripriate behavior, filed formal complaint. My wife videotaped the whole thing, gonna start pkating on social media. Hilton member and have stayed dozens of times, never again. DO NOT STAY HERE!
