Comfort Inn Downtown - University Area

Food , customer service , pool , clean , comfortable, at end of stay told me I did not pay

Took the payment as needed then Held money as pending payment on card , did not take payment but transaction approved, then Told me I did not pay

Proximity to WMU campus.

This hotel did not feel welcoming or safe. It is bare bones. The halls have a college dorm feel, the property is barely off the road and wedged behind a bar. The TVs and beds in the room are small.

It was fine

Very clean, but quite a few things were broken in the bathroom- floor tiles, tp holder, door latch. Also the front desk was having computer issues and they wanted to keep my ID since they couldn’t check me in. I wasn’t particularly comfortable with that, since I needed to drive that evening!

This hotel was absolutely terrible. The parking lot was icy as hell. The tv in the room did not function and we had no hot water for showers and the sink. The floor in the bathroom felt like you were going to drop right through it. I will be contacting the BBB ( Better Business Bureau) to file a formal complaint.

The breakfast area was nice. It was close to downtown.

It was mediocre. We were missing a couple things in the room. The carts did not have hooks so loading our stuff on them was piling it on top of each other, then stuff fell off coming up the hill by the entrance.

Was an ok stay up until the morning of checkout. The 4 days we stayed we shared this 3 floor hotel with at most 2 other couples. Parking is right out front so easy to see who comes and goes. (This hotel is run by an India family who does all the cleaning and hospitality themselves, overall nice people with no outside help) I was even going to leave a nice tip since they cleaned our room when we requested.. till morning of checkout. Checkout is 11am. They come by the room and open up the door, no knocking and ignoring the do not disturb sign on the door and this happened at around 6 or 7am. They know we are still there our truck is parked where it has been the last few days visible from the front desk and were the only ones there. If that was all., I could have brushed it off but what did they do next… in this empty hotel they decided to start working on the door directly across the hall with a hammer drill for the next two hours. Intentionally making this noise repeatedly over and over again. Making the wind sound when you barely press the trigger followed by 2 or 3 loud knocks of the drill turning over. Just truly beyond disrespectful. Also fyi check your mattress, ours did have bed bugs in the past. Thankfully it wasn’t a current issue. (I’ve had to deal with them two different times in my past and not anything to be taken lightly, please be cautious)

The bathroom floor tiles where broke the stopper in the tub was broke and walking in the floor was dirty.
