Hampton Inn & Suites Chesapeake-Square Mall

I have mixed feelings about my recent stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Chesapeake Square Mall. On the positive side, the staff members were excellent, truly professional, accommodating, and the highlight of the experience. However, the hotel itself was not up to the standard I expect from the Hampton brand. The ceiling in my room was visibly dirty, which was quite off-putting. I also found it frustrating that housekeeping was only performed upon specific request rather than being a standard service. Most concerning were the reports from other guests who were visibly dissatisfied, with some even mentioning issues with bed bugs. While the team working there is great, the physical state of the building and the lack of proactive cleaning make it hard to recommend this location.

The property was fine. The only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was low and the pool was closed for renovation eliminating a morning swim. The front desk and food staff were very welcoming and accommodating

Mt overall stay was great.
