The room was outdated, smaller than expected and the bathroom was outdated

Very bad isolation !!! For 300$ for a night you would expect to sleep like a baby !

Having stayed at the Renaissance on several occasions, I reserved a room online in February 2025 via the Renaissance system, for October 2025. I received a return email confirming the reservation. Upom arrival I was advised by the two reception staff that I did not have a reservation in their system. They asked for proof of the booking so I presented a copy of the reservation acknowledgement. I was told that the email did not have a relevant booking number. End of conversation - I was then told there were no rooms available in the hotel. I asked if they would help with booking an alternative hotel - the response was that there are several hotels in Schaumberg. Whilst issues and problems will develop, I had expected some help from the reception staff. The staff had no empathy with their customer and were disinterested - there was no apology in any form. They appeared to be inadequately trained and clueless as to how to resolve problems. There was no manager available who could help the hapless pair when the computer said no.
