Super 8 by Wyndham La Vale/Cumberland Area

Stayed in non smoking but its on same hall as smoking. Hard to breathe. Xtra lock was broken. So didnt feel room was secure. Was told no other rooms available. Mold in bathroom.

given smoking room. requested non. that room was the worst. needed a switch couldnt even go inside. Breakfast area was a couple small table for 4 and 2. hardly big enough for any number of guest. went to grocery store for food.

The worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Gave us an occupied room upon check in. 2nd room horrible... Rundown, filthy, damaged toilet, lumpy mattress. Every part of this hotel was JUST AWFUL!!!!

Try Your Car Instead. If you are volunteering on a budget, it might be worth spending an extra $20 to $30 elsewhere. You may even want to seriously consider sleeping in your car. I stayed at this Super 8 by Wyndham in La Vale, Maryland, two years ago. At the time, the room had been freshly painted, cleaned, and seemed ready for guests. That made this recent visit all the more shocking. What I walked into was a completely different experience. Black mold covered the bathroom ceiling. A non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. There were cigarette burns on the bedding, grimy uncleaned floors, and broken furniture throughout. The overall condition was not only disappointing. It was disturbing. One has to wonder: When was the last time this property was inspected by the county health department or visited by a representative from Wyndham?

While it's a nice and inexpensive place to stay, it is dated and lacking a few amenities. There's only one area of vending machines and their selection isn't good. No knowledge of an ice machine either. While it mentions a breakfast is available, the front desk didn't mention it nor mention where it would be if they had it. The outside is messy, mostly from the recent floods but they've done very little renovations to improve the site. Their air units would be nicer if you could keep the fan on at all times just for moving air but the thermostat it's controlled by now is limited with its services. I hope they fix this up soon. It could be a pretty nice motel with some fresh paint and carpet.

The staff at the front desk, as well as the cle staff, were both very kind and friendly. The size of the 1 bedroom was excellent. .

Their were 5 lamps in my bedroom, and not 1 of them would work? It was getting late, and I wanted to put on a light inside. The 2 mounted on the wall alongside the bed were both not operational. I thought maybe they both have deas bulbs I'll turn on the standing lamp, also nothing I checked to see if the bulb was loose no..? So then I went over to the desk and tried that o e as well also nothing. So now I walked over to the front t door and clicked the switch on the left-hand side of the wall. Nothing? So I left the bathroom light on so that I could have so e light in the bedroom. I ended up getting cold some time late at night and went to put on the heat just for a little to get rid of the chill. The unit turned on and said LC then turned off? I tried again the same thing.? I gave up, put on my hoodie, and went back to bed.

Location - nothing else

Cigarette butt on bed, food in AC unit, caked gunk on the floors, mold covering the bathroom. I spent less than 5 minutes here and was told I’d get refunded.

very nice stay. We have been coming to Delfest for many years. This year we noticed a change in this property. New management, cleaning upgraded , friendly and professional staff. Breakfast was very limited but there many good options nearby Thank you. see you next year. Del Yeah
