Carolina Inn & Suites of Lake Norman

This is the worse Expedia property I’ve stayed in. Plain and simple, it was dirty. The base of the toilet was visibly filthy brown. Not the kind of dirt from a missed cleaning but dirt from consistent lack of cleaning. The whole room especially the carpet was in similar condition. The lamps were dusty. Bed sheets and blanket had holes. We reported this to the desk clerk who reported it to his manager. Their reply was , “you booked thru Expedia”. My reply was, “ does that excuse dirty”. I was told to tell Expedia. I took pictures of the toilet

The room needs to be upgraded, has a lot of wear and tear. Pillows were awful to sleep on. Towels were thin, but clean. The room seemed clean enough.

We always stay here on our way to and from Hilton Head. It is in a great location. Many restaurants to choose from that are close by. Our favorite was La Unica Mexican restaurant.

It was a great experience for us. The pool and facilities were clean and fabulous to use. If needed something it was no problem to receive it. A wonderful experience while there. We will stay again.
