Super 8 by Wyndham Paris IL

Holy moly. I’ve been to a bunch of pretty terrible hotels but this one takes the cake. We had to stay in Paris for some work going on in town and thought the super 8 might be at least semi decent. We got two rooms for a week and these rooms were absolutely terrible. The shower ceiling was literally caving in, one of the doors was just hanging off the frame, windows patched with black duct tape, the toilet bowl didn’t even flush. We had to take the lid off and pull the plug by hand, and the patch work on the shower head. It was screwed in with a grocery sack as a seal. So the shower head sprayed water all over the bathroom during the shower. Next, we stayed across from room 203 who was visited by almost every male guest the hotel received that week. Not sure what they were doing but they had a lot of foot traffic. To cap it all off the staff was rude and very judgmental. They wouldn’t replace towels. Didn’t set out the breakfast. It was just a night mare. Don’t waste your money. Stay at the roadside right on the other side. This is what you can expect.

Reserved online. Online the room said pet friendly under “included in stay” so i didn’t think it would be an issue to have my dog with. A few days in, i was told by front desk that i had to pay for my pet, to which i replied ok that’s my bad i thought it was included in the cost of my pet friendly room. The owners then lied and told me that my fiance explicitly told them that we had no pets (she never spoke a word to them, as i got the room online and i was the one who checked in to begin with). I didnt have the money at the time to pay, as i just paid for 8 days upfront. So i told them that i could pay them thursday morning, as i get paid Wednesday night. They said that was fine, then on Wednesday around 4pm they called my room, requesting me to come to the lobby to pay them, even though i had already told them that i would have it thursday morning, and was told that it was fine, and that is what i told them during this phone call. About an hour later, two people from the staff come banging on my door, demanding me to pay them after i already told them more than once that i simply didn’t have it yet, and as soon as i am paid they will get the pet fee. When i told her i was waiting to be paid, i was told to make it faster. Terrible experience, terrible owners.

We come through the front door it slams shut. The whole motel smells like pot. We had 2 rooms they only gave us 1 room card then they asked for the room card back makes no sense and gave us 2 new cards. How many people does it take to check people in it took 3 people to check us in. One room didn’t have a remote had to go get one. The other room had a remote but the tv would not work. I went to front desk said this remote will not work on the tv they gave me another remote same story. And then the 2nd room we paid $132 for didn’t have a working tv, there were crumbs on the floor, there was black scum in the shower floor, there were no Kleenex, there was still a used coffee filter bag in the coffee pot… I could keep going but I’ll just say I was totally disappointed…

Not a damn thing was good about this place.

The place was gross couldn't shower.. couldn't use the phone in the room to call front desk. They offered to discount our next night's stay then charged full price.

Windows and doors busted out and extremely dark parking lot. Did not feel safe to stay there so booked a different hotel last minute. I would not recommend staying here.

You could hear people walking above and closing door flushing toilet all around. Breakfast was a joke. The only option was a cereal. Yogurt exparied, no coffee, appes old- wrinkeled. The bed sheets had a stain and mirror wasn't clean.

The price was very reasonable.

Coffee was terrible and cereal was only thing for breakfast. TV options were not great

Nobody on the staff spoke or even hardly understood English Reported a missing remote and nobody was sent The office was locked up tight in the evening but the entrances to the rooms anybody could walk right in, no locks what so ever
