Sherwood Inn

The location was fantastic! The room was comfortable and clean.

The noise level during my stay was extremely disruptive. There is a fire pit outside the main entrance with chairs that encourage guests to sit and socialize, which is a nice idea in theory. However, many guests stayed there late into the evening talking loudly. Unfortunately, some rooms—including the one I stayed in—face the fire pit, and you can hear every word, even with earplugs. It made it very difficult to sleep. I called the front desk twice, and the staff informed me that guests are allowed to be loud until 11 p.m. I would have appreciated knowing this in advance, as I would have booked a different hotel. In my experience, most hotels address noise complaints and enforce quiet hours around 10 p.m. The staff I spoke with were not sympathetic and made me feel as though I was the problem. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and reflected very poor customer service.

I had a great time at Sherwood Inn. My spa experience was exceptional. I had a facial with back massage by Abby and she was fantastic and very professional. My only complaint was the walls were paper thin and the room was noisy. I also felt the prices in the restaurant were high. Impressed with the water front and free use of the canoes and kayaks.

since we booked last min. there were only a few rooms left. We chose the Maplewood building as they have balconies. We were across the hall from the ice machine. a bit noisy in the middle of the night.

My wife and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary here and will want to come back. This is a Perfect Muskoka property and location for a comfortable couples getaway. The facility has a great restaurant and pub/bar if you just want to stay and relax vs driving to town. If you do want to drive to town it’s a short 5-10 min drive to Port Carling.

We don't travel with pets so N/A. Lake view from 3rd floor slightly obscured by big trees but that is the way in a forested setting it is at a lake!! Nice little walking trails around the property. Nice jetted tub in our unit BUT the shower stall was the smallest I have ever encountered. I could use it, if I moved carefully but I know and see a lot of people who could not use it at all!!
