Hampton Inn Clarion

Rooms were clean and comfy. We got in late and slept in and missed breakfast. Can't say anything about breakfast because of this. Hamptons are just about all the same, so you should know what to expect.

The staff who checked us in were friendly but misinformed. They told us there would be bag breakfast at 5am set out for guests but when we got up the next morning (with two hungry children in tow) the guy working said that’s only on weekends (it was Sun). When I told him that the desk staff had promised us this he didn’t make any effort to comp us a snack or get us something from kitchen or anything. As well, the floors are thin and the person above us danced around until 1am.

Bathroom ceiling paint was peeling and the room in general showing a lot wear and tear. they allowed dogs and cats and had to wheel my suitcase around dog dirt on the sidewalk (thank goodness I saw it in time) that was not picked up by the pet owner - if you allow animals their owners should be respectful and if not then property manager should be cleaning up so other guests are not inconvenienced!!!!!

Bath tub and shower falling apart. Shower head dripped all night. Coating on tub falling off (inside of tub). Thermostat didn’t work. Room fan didn’t work. Hair on bathroom floor. Hamptons have been so bad the past few years we’ve had enough. The Fairfield Inn was nearly pristine.

The cleanliness and amenities were first class

Great stay! We always stop here on our way back east after visiting family in the Midwest. We enjoyed the pool and my husband and I enjoyed relaxing in the lobby after we put the baby down for the night. (Our baby monitor reached the lobby!) The breakfast is really good—the gentleman who sets everything up is fantastic! He deserves a raise 😊 We will definitely stay here again.

Great room amenities and breakfast

We enjoy this location and have chosen to stay here on visits to see family in Ohio on multiple occasions over the past two decades. Never disappointed. The service at breakfast deserves a shout-out--friendly and welcoming. Pool is clean and comfortable too, a plus for our son.
