Hampton Inn Clarion

This stay was a yikes! I slept in my clothes after arriving tired and late. My first clue should have been the bathroom door being shut. In a nutshell, the tub fixtures were rusty and the rust was present on the shower wall and floor. The tub floor looked like someone may have vomited there? Although that might have been damage caused by the rust? The faucet was hanging loose. Tub tiles were broken… great for mold growth. There was a gaping hole in the bathroom ceiling. This is room 116, which needs serious repairs before being given to a guest again. Music played from the lobby until 2am. The ceiling above the bed was warped. The room felt dirty. I’m sure it was.

The room was clean and very comfortable. The gym was small, but had everything needed to get a good workout. The breakfast was outstanding! The staff was friendly, courteous, and very helpful. I loved this hotel and will definitely come back.

Was placed in adjoining room with a family. When they spoke it sounded like they were in our room.

Too close to hospital, helicopter at 2 am yucks my yum.

Everyone was so nice, we don’t usually stay in motels but had a doctors appointment,and weather was bad so we decided to stay and it was really nice. In May we will be back.

I was very surprised that during a significant winter event, the staff failed to apply any deicing material to any door or entrances. The entire parking lot was a complete ice skating rink. Very dangerous, disturbing, unacceptable.

Great stay.

Checkin was very efficient and friendly. It snowed while we were there but there was no snow removal on the sidewalks into the hotel.

What I LOVED about this property was the staff. We checked in on a night with terrible weather. We had no luggage, toiletries, or personal belongings with us. We were privileged to be checked in by two wonderful people. I wish I had gotten their names. They were on duty this past Sunday evening - a young woman with dark hair and a young man who told us he was training. The young lady made up two toiletry bags for us containing everything we needed. These two staff members are a huge asset to this hotel. What I would change in the hotel is that it needs to be refurbished. It's looking a little tired and jaded. The room was clean, but attention to detail was not there - for example, corners in the room were dusty or dirty. The man who was serving breakfast had a terrible cough. We worried about catching something. The hotel is super convenient to Clarion Hospital and other medical facilities - good location. I would stay here again because of those two young people who were so pleasant and helpful. Please commend them!
