Hotel Villa Sonia

nice view and nice staffs

We stayed for 5 nights but would have loved to have stayed longer. Every member of staff at the hotel we met during our stay was helpful, especially David on reception who made us welcome as soon as we arrived. The whole hotel is kept extremely clean, and the team is visibly working hard throughout the day. We had a classic room which was large enough for our needs and had a lot of storage. There was never a problem with getting a sun bed around the pool and the views of Mt. Etna are breathtaking. Breakfast is a buffet with a good hot and cold selection and there is a great restaurant next door called the Caverna. In addition, a short walk up into the main square there are plenty of good restaurants. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus into Taomina, can organise a number of trips, we had a day at a beach club,  and a vineyard trip. We had a great stay and hope to be back next year.

Evrything we expected and more. A fabulous setting with views of Etna. The hotel is typically Sicilian and the staff were excellent. We loved it here and will recommend and definitley return. Thank you

Wir haben das Hotel wegen des Pools und der Aussicht gebucht - beides ist wirklich so toll, wie auf den Bilder gezeigt! Außerdem liegt das Hotel in einem schönen Bergdorf, das die anspruchsvolle Autofahrt durch das Zentrum von Taormina wert ist.

Das Hotel ist schon sehr renovierungsbedürftig! Nahezu überall ist zu erkennen, dass das Gebäude und die Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen ist. Auch darüber hinaus könnte modernisiert werden, was zb das Frühstück zeigt, das doch sehr "klassisch" für altmodische Hotels ist. Das Hotel lässt vermuten, wie luxuriös es früher einmal dort war - mit etwas frischem Wind ließe sich das sicher wieder herstellen.

The hotel is lovely, and the views are stunning. The staff are wonderful, friendly and always there to help.

The constant music although low volume does become a little irritating at breakfast and around the pool area. The food whilst OK is a little disappointing.
