Mountainside Lodge

Very nice staff, and place. Very wel located in Whistler. Should provide a recycle bin (and compost if available in Whistler) in the studio.

We stayed here for nearly a week, and overall, it was a great experience. The staff was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and a big reason I’d consider returning. The location is also very convenient. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the logistical challenges of the elevator wait: 1) The elevator is quite slow. 2) All skis and snowboards must be stored on P2, requiring an extra elevator trip (or uncomfortable stairs on the ski boots) to fetch or store gears. 3) The closest surface-level exit is on P1, meaning an additional elevator trip from P2 to P1. What should have been a perfect ski-in ski-out experience, now feels like an elevator-heavy ordeal, especially during peak times. If not for this one inconvenience, I’d easily rate this lodge 5 stars.

Mountainside Lodge is located within easy walking distance to the ski lifts as well as easy access to dining and shops in the village. The rooms had great storage for a long term stay and it was very handy having the kitchen to cook meals. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is dated and could use an upgrade. Staff are awesome!!

Great location to Whistler Village and walking to slopes. Hotel and rooms are a bit dated, but they are great for families that want to be close to the action in the village and easy access to slopes. There wasn’t any service for the hotel rooms so please note that if you are staying for a long time and want to have a refresher of your room.

Easy, friendly staff and Sauna was a plus.

It's a decent place to stay. Good, but not great. The building is old and definitely needs some updating, eg. carpets and the exercise room. You need all of memorized numerical codes (which change periodically), RFID wrist bands, and combination lock to open doors and lockers. Would be so much more convenient if this was all consolidated on one RFID card like in so many hotels/resorts. The garage roof is very low and the entrance way narrow. Clearly built in a different era. One very slow elevator. Rooms are cozy and kitchen well equipped. The Murphy bed is not the most comfortable or convenient. Pillows seem overly soft for my liking. On the plus side location is excellent, extremely close to Whistler Gondola, shops, rental stores. Staff reasonably helpful with varying degrees of interpersonal skills.
