Staff very helpful. Clean. Comfortable bed. Amazing bath.

Towel rail was never on so towels didn't try. Sink too far away from edge of counter. Only half a toilet roll in the room when we arrived. Some coat hooks by the door would be good.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely old pub with character and charm.

Great location and the bar and restaurant was cosy

The carpets in the room were not clean. The windows were not sealed making the room cold. It had a coffee machine but no coffee pods . The cost was way over priced

The reception was so helpful and friendly. Lovely sleep and great food.

Location is wonderful. Exactly what we wanted for a weekend retreat. Historical town with a few nice resaurants. Breakfast in the hotel was great.

We were surprised that nobody had offered to take our suitcases to the room upon arrival, especially as the stairs were a little precarious as you would expect from a 400 year old building. When we entered the room, it was very cold. The heating systmem was not working. Instead, there was a temporary mobile radiator unit in its place - but it hadn't been turned on. We set the radiator up ourselves and left to go for a walk and by the time we returned, the room was still cold. We asked for another radiator which they delivered to the room on our behalf and all was good by the time we returned from a second walk. The bathroom however remained cold and it appeared that the heating in there was not working either. We wanted to have a coffee and chat in the dining / lounge area of the hotel before going to dinner in town, but there was a 'wake' party in the room and no accommodating the hotel guests, so we went out to a cafe instead. Slightly disorganised but shedding no blame on those poor folk who had just attended a funeral.

Having to get the tv remote from reception was not helpful

Lovely comfy bed, well decorated room that was very clean. Breakfast was fantastic, and the beer was good.

The restaurant service was a bit slow. The waitress was great, but she seemed to struggle to get round everyone on her own.

Staff were very nice and welcoming

Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable more so the pillows than the mattress. Staff helped change the pillows for me. There was an event on downstairs in the pub so unfortunately it was very noisy.
