The Shelby Inn

We liked that the bathrooms were a bit updated. Bed was comfortable. The hostess was very nice and great at communicating. Easy access to room. Walls seem to be freshly painted.

The carpet. It looks old and stained. General appearance of room was not great. Just needs updating. Even if the trim and doors inside the room had a fresh coat of white paint, it would give you a warmer feel when you walk in... and, of course, the carpet needs to be replaced.

The room was clean and so was the outside of the building. Quiet and so comforting. See you in 20 years for the next eclipse. We stayed with you on the last eclipse in 2017. Your establishment has come a long way since then and will always hold a special place in our hearts. We got engaged on the last eclipse and we stayed with you then and we stayed with you.

Clean and in good repair

The room was large, comfortable and very quaint. We recommend it.

Bed and pillows were comfortable. We asked for more coffee and it was in our room upon our return. It would be nice if there were USB ports to charge your phones and laptops. Luckily we brought our chargers with cubes. There is an outdoor grill for guests. Great hotel for a short or extended stay!!!

No one at facilities completely automated, 5 channels on tv, beds rocky not sturdy. Poor water pressure. We stayed here with previous owners and were impressed so we came back. Never again

I've stayed here a few times and the recent changes have made the stay so much better! Our first time in 2022 was decent. Clean enough room, pleasant service. But everything felt a bit tired. We just finished a stay there and it's so much better! The sheets and quilts are all new and not from the 80's! No more buzzing lights. Much easier check in and check out process.

The room just felt cozy, comfortable and welcoming from the very moment we opened the door! The pillows were great and the bed was super for a great night's sleep. The property was very well-kept, tidy and neat.
