Bluegreen Vacations Cibola Vista Resort and Spa, an Ascend Collection Resort

My wife and I decided to spend a week getting to know Arizona (admittedly in a small way) as neither of us had traveled there before. We spent 4 nights in Sedona and 3 nights in Peoria (greater Phoenix area). Our time at Cibola Vista was purposefully designed to be relaxing at the resort and just chilling in the pool and hanging out after our first four days spent hiking and exploring the beautiful surroundings of Sedona (which will be covered in a separate review). The grounds of Cibola Vista are very nice, complete with a super nice kids/family pool area with some water-park like attractions that will likely kids occupied all day if that is your desire with a hot tub also in that area, a food truck right outside the gate of the main pool area (that has a somewhat limited menu with some really good food, including a great pizza), tennis/pickleball courts, and an adult only pool & hot tub as well as a smallish bar that has a limited food menu, a GREAT frozen drink maker, and absolutely delightful bartenders during our stay there! Both pool areas seem to be far enough away from the rooms that noise shouldn't be an issue, especially at night. Also there are several areas where grills are provided if you choose to do so while staying there, as well as several nice areas fitted out with very comfortable chairs for reading, relaxing or having a glass of wine with family or friends. While I didn't partake, my wife arranged for a deep tissue massage at the on-site spa and she was very pleased with that experience. The unit that we stayed in (building 14) was one of, if not the nicest we've ever experienced in the BlueGreen family. It was clean, modern, very nicely furnished and very comfortable. Located in a fairly nice area of Peoria, there are hiking trails that are easily available nearby, as well as a good choice of restaurants and national chain grocery stores and other amenities also nearby. I would consider this resort well worth the value. Overall this was a very pleasant and relaxing experience and a resort that we would definitely consider returning to for a longer period of stay in the future!

I love this property !! I have been to this facility many times and am a Bluegreen member I was unable to book using points so I went this route. You have a HUGE markup on your billing but I felt I didn’t have a better option this year, knowing what the cost is thru BGreen I’m not sure I would book again with such a giant cost increase.

This was my second stay at the property, and it again met my expectations. The staff was very helpful, and I enjoyed the pool and beautifully maintained grounds. Parking can be challenging at times; while I always found a space, it could be a longer walk to the room. The location is excellent—close to restaurants, shopping, and local sights. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

The ground-floor room was dark, and opening the drapes for natural light reduced privacy due to foot traffic outside. For better light and privacy, avoid ground-floor rooms.
