"Very sad last day"

Today is our last day of a 14 day holiday. First impressions were good, always takes a few days to find your feet. Would I return, yes I think so, a few tweeks would make things better but overall we had a great time. Initially I was not happy with my room, I did complain at reception, the staff member was not very friendly and quite rude. So I approached guest relations, a lady called Kubra helped me. She was amazing, very friendly, helpful and arranged a room change within 24 hours. She also kept track that my issue was dealt with. Food - nice, not amazing, lunch was better than dinner. It was a bit repetitive, but we certainly didn’t go hungry. The older lady who makes the bread at lunchtime blew me away, literally delicious. Pool/beach - a nice area with plenty of shade if you want it. Sea was a bit dirty, lots of rubbish floating around. Well maintained gardens and lots of sunbeds. Entertainment - a small group of people who are responsible for entertainment throughout the day and evening. Aqua classes, gym classes, various sports, dance shows etc, they also seemed to be responsible for security during a little incident one evening, which they handled well, that being said I felt that they should of had some help with this. (We were not involved in the incident) They work very hard, literally don’t stop, always smiling and cheerful. Rooms - once we were moved from our very tired old fashioned room, I couldn’t have been happier. Lovely clean space, comfortable beds. Extra pillows/hangars delivered promptly. Area - the local area is ok, not our usual choice when visiting Turkey. We did go to old town Antalya, which is very nice. Outside the hotel there is a selection of shops, not the best, and wouldn’t recommend for a good shopping experience. We did get a taxi to Kemmer one evening but did prefer Antalya. Cats - as an animal lover I was worried about the cats, but overall they seemed in decent condition. I do think the hotel should take some responsibility for them. People seem to like having them around, so get them neutered and provide fresh water and food. Other guests - mainly German guests, but very friendly and great entertainment to watch. They know how to have a good time. Overall we had a great time, bits of the hotel are 5* other bits less so. We always struggle to find a hotel that’s great quality without the pomp! I would say this very nearly has this.

"A wonderful place for holidays"

The staying in the hotel was really wonderful. The place is very beautiful, sea from one side, mountains from the other. The staff is very helpful. We were met by a very professional man in reception Volkan, who perhaps seeing how exhausted we were, helped us to get a room much quicker than it would have been expected. It's wonderful to start the vacation in a beautiful hotel when the staff meet you with smiles and do their best to make you feel very welcome. Thank you!

"Amazing!!"

Amazing stay!! The hotel has the verything you need - multiple sport classes and other activities that everyone can find something for themselves, very polite and helpful team and whole staff, delicious food, beautiful views. The hotel is quiet and chill. Perfect for families (over 16), couples and single travelers as well (no worries - you’ll make a lot of friend here :)). Here you’re never bored - games, language lessons, tennis lessons and many others during a day, great shows and parties in evenings. The hotel offers a free shuttle and entrance to the Land of Legends theme park. Once tried you’ll never want to go anywhere else!!

"Tui Magic life & Rixos by name only"

Well, where do I start with this hotel? Firstly, when I arrived at the hotel and entered my room there was still ash in the ashtray from the previous guests. The room was dated & the air conditioning didn't work. I called reception 3 times to try & resolve the issue and each time they claimed to have fixed it, but they didn't. It wasn't until I went down to reception to complain face-2-face that they informed me nobody had even gone to check it. The food served in the restaurant at lunch is near enough exactly the same food you get at dinner, which gets extremely repetitive! Sadly, the thing that really let this hotel down the most is the atmosphere, which other Magic life hotels do so well & pride themselves on. I have stayed at a number of other Magic Life hotels, which have all been excellent , but this hotel gives both Magic life & Rixos brands a bad name. The entertainment team are by far the worst i've seen & are the largest contributing factor to the poor atmosphere of the hotel. They do very little to engage the guests & when they were walking around the hotel between activities , they just appeared so miserable & uninterested, like they did not want to be there. Whenever I spoke with them, I got the feeling that you weren't welcome and they didn't want you there. It's such a shame as other Magic life hotels are built on creating an inclusive & family like atmosphere (that is what Magic Life is about!) for all types of travellers, whether they are groups ,or solo. However, the team here have sadly failed to do that . As a solo traveller I introduced myself to the Magic angel rep on the first night (the rep responsible for bringing solo travellers together), she introduced herself to me by saying 'hello' & then just walked off (thanks!). The other reps were just rude & ignored you, with no intention of building a community atmosphere. In fact, I wanted to cancel my trip early as I was very upset with my experience (which i've never done before at any hotel) and felt discriminated against as a solo traveller but ended up staying in my room on my last night, counting down the time to my departure. If this hotel wants to improve it's image it really could do with a full re-branding, refurbishment & new entertainment team if it wants to even stand a chance of competing with the brands other hotels. This experience has made me cautious about booking any further TUI Magic life (and Rixos) hotels as it shows a lack of consistency between the experiences & levels of service offered by the different hotels. The only positive takeaway was the local staff who worked in the restaurant & poolside bar were offering a good service & were welcoming. I was warned by guests at other Magic life hotels to avoid this particular hotel as they had shared similar negative views of their experience. However, due to other hotels being unavailable due to it being peak season I thought I would give it a chance to see for myself. Never again!

"Exceptional"

Short summary: fantastic hotel with wonderful staff and a brilliant entertainment team :) Full review: My friend and I stayed in this hotel for one week and had an absolutely amazing time. The hotel itself is well located and the transfer from the airport was reasonable. Upon arrival (at about 1am), we were greeted by friendly reception staff who took our (very heavy!) bags and offered us refreshments. This was greatly appreciated after a day of travel. We received a quick and informative overview of the hotel and its facilities, then were taken to our room and given an overview of how everything worked. This is something I have never had before, so I was particularly impressed by the service here. It was great not having to fight with the air conditioning at 1am! The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and the bathroom contained shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and a hairdryer. There was also a good sized balcony which was great for drying out towels and swimwear. Our maid, Dina, ensured our room was always clean and tidy with fresh towels, loo roll and plenty of cold water in the fridge. The hotel itself is in a great location, beachfront and surrounded by beautiful mountains. There were local shops across the road and a pharmacy within walking distance (about 10 minutes away by foot). The restaurant was great and always had a wealth of delicious options available. I was particularly impressed by the dessert selection each day! The staff were friendly and efficient and ensured we had drinks at all times and that dirty plates were removed promptly. The pool area was fantastic and well maintained. There were lots of loungers around the pool but also on the grass areas, giving people plenty of options of where to lounge. The outside bar was great too. We always had the BEST service here, especially from the bartender Indri, who always served us with humour and a smile. The bar supervisor, Oğuz was also brilliant and it was great to see staff working so well together. It was always a joyful experience popping over for a drink! One of the absolute highlights for us though was the entertainment team and the daily programme of activities. They had everything from Archery to Zumba, and it was all completely optional of course. The entertainment team truly went above and beyond each day to ensure everyone was enjoying their holiday. They were never pushy to get people to join in activities and would always greet you with a smile and make time to stop and talk to guests, even though they were working every hour under the sun. The whole team were great, but I'd like to give special shoutouts to Tim, Felix, Eutychia and Ege. We spent most of our time engaging with these colleagues in the various activities, from the early hours of the morning to late at night. Their energy and enthusiasm was infectious and they truly are a credit to TUI Magic Life. Personally, I choose TUI Magic Life holidays because I enjoy the entertainment programme, and I was not disappointed in this. Even the Entertainment Manager seemed fun and keen to engage with guests, which was great to see. "DJ Jesus" was also great and could really read the crowd to play fun songs people wanted to get up and dance to. This leads me to the evening entertainment programme, which was also fantastic. You can really see how much time and effort goes into each and every event and show. The dancers were phenomenal and the other colleagues were great at getting the crowd going and entertaining guests. Overall, we had a wonderful week away and would come back in a heartbeat! I'd highly recommend this hotel if you want a mixture of relaxed and fun vibes with plenty of activities to choose from. THANK YOU TUI MAGIC LIFE BELDIBI! <3

"Memnun kaldım."

En son 10 yıl önce gelmiştim. Otelin kendisi eğlence ve imkan olarak fazla bir şey vaadetmiyor ama imkanları fazla olan Sungate veya Land of Legends'e servis var. Sungate 5 dakika mesafede. Her sabah gidip istediğiniz saatte dönebilirsiniz. Ben bu şekilde kullandım. Yemeklerden vs.. memnunum. Odalar da güzel. Müşteri hizmetleri de yardımcı oluyor. Merve Hanım'a teşekkürler.

"Great experience - ignore the older (negative) reviews !"

Before departure we read a number of negative reviews, and frankly... we were somewhat worried. For no reason, however. We had a great holiday. Let's break it down in a few topics: 1) We arrived late in the evening. As we checked in, a staff member immediately brought our luggage to the room. We were late for supper, but there were some sandwiches and such at the midnight snackbar. Nothing too fancy, but adequate. 2) The room (1341) was clean and comfy. We had a spectacular frontal mountain view, and a sideview on the sea. No bath in the bathroom, but a spacious shower. 3) The hotel domain (see pictures) is spectacular. The garden is delightful and very well tended, with orangetrees, flowerbeds, palm trees and a variety of swinging chairs and covered and uncovered sunbeds in the swimming pool area, the garden and at the beach. The chirping of the cycads in the garden is quite the experience when you first hear it. The swimming pool is big and 1,40 meters in depth. The largest side-to-side-distance is approximately 45 meters, which is great for swimming lengths. I noticed a special contraption for helping wheelchair-users as well, which is quite thoughtful. IMPORTANT : no towel race at all. There were plenty of sunbeds at all times, and there was never a 'crowded' feeling at all. Delightful ! 4) We read some criticism about the food in earlier reviews : food being cold, lack of variation, cats in the restaurant, etcetera. Be assured : none of that was true. We've visited several 5*-all-in-hotels in Turkey, Dominican Republic, Kenya, etc... and the kitchen team in Magic Life Beldibi definitely stands up to comparison with all of them. - Cold food : never. Not even once. - Lack of variation : nope. Sure, breakfast and lunch had quite the number of dishes that ware provided on a daily basis, but the choice is so abundant... well, you can easily assemble a completely different breakfast every day of the week. Same goes for the lunch in the outdoor "Downtown" restaurant next to the pool : we had ample possibilities to enjoy varied lunches day after day. The supper was on another level though. Plenty of variation. Some evenings there was a especially refined starter dish (example : see picture). There was a huge variety of warm meat/fish/veggie/pizza dishes, cold dishes (see picture), fruit, vegetables and wide scala of desserts. - Cats : yes, there are cats. Beldibi is teeming with stray cats. Cats are free animals, and go where they please, so yes : you'll see some cats in the hotel as well. There was this pair of a ginger and a grey cat that were always present in the lunch restaurant, but they are NOT a nuisance. They are friendly, and yes : they sometimes look at you with those big "Food ?"-eyes, but that's all there is to say about it. - Service : the staff members were extremely helpful, friendly and fast to remove empty plates or refill glasses. We'd like to commend one person in particular, being Ayse in the lunch restaurant. She was outstanding. 5) Beach : the private beach is a combination of rough sand and rocks. There's a lovely pier with sunbeds and parasols. In front of the pier is the towel desk. On the beach itself sea turtles lay eggs. Special contraptions are used to safeguard these eggs till the day they hatch. Nice ! 6) The complete absence of kids (< 16) was a revelation. The difference was even bigger than expected. Serenity all over the place. 7) Animation : although we never take part in animation activities, it was obvious to see that the team did a great job. Most of the time the volume of the music in the vicinity of the pool was very enjoyable. It's there, but not too loud. Quite perfect for our taste, actaually. 8) Drinks : there was a "included" selection of drinks (local stuff, cocktails and mocktails, water, juices and the typical syrup-based soft drinks), next to a non-included selection of branded drinks. Decent enough for the garden, beach and pool areas. There were also a number of strategically placed refrigerators with bottles of mineral water. Handy ! No criticism at all then ? No. There is one minor thing that could have been better. The quality of the dinner in the evening in the Magico-restaurant was - as stated above - excellent, but having the same syrup-based soft drinks to go with that felt somewhat... wrong. The all-inclusive formula would gain an extra notch of 'shinyness' by providing "real" drinks (as in : bottled ones - the taste IS uncomparable after all). And on the same topic : the minibar in the room has some bottles of mineral water, as well as two 20cl bottles each of Fanta, Coca Cola and soda water. Mineral water is freely replenished daily. The other 6 bottles are free, but won't be replenished unless you pay for it. Again, this is a practice I didn't expect from a 5* all-inclusive resort. I don't expect champagne, expensive wines, foreign specialty beers or branded spirits to be free, but simple bottled softdrinks ? Those should be included i.m.h.o. , at least in the supper restaurant and in the minibar. 9) Staff : friendly, helpful, etc... Nothing but praise for the people who do their utmost best to provide us a good time. 10) Sports accomodation (tennis, fitness, ...), spa, hairdresser, etc... : it's all there, but we didn't use any of it because of the high temperatures (first day : 37 °C). Hence I can't really say anything relevant about it. 11) Nighttime noise : people who appreciate silence in the evening/night should definitely avoid the room we stayed in (1341), at the end of the wing close to the pool and animation area. It's on top of the night club and closest to the animation stage. We would have asked for different room if we'd known this up front. If you appreciate silence in the evening hours, ask for a room in one of the other wings of the building or close to the reception area. (Some evenings were okay, but some others - like thursday july, 3 for instance - were terrible till approx. 2 a.m.) I'm probably overlooking some aspects now, but I think I covered the most important things. Bottom line : negative older reviews can be ignored for all I care. Either they were wrong, or they were true but management took care of the issues in the meanwhile. If we return to the Antalya region in the future, it will definitely be in TUI Magic Life Beldibi.
