The location and staff was EXCELLENT - just a beautiful and well run historical GEM! We especially appreciated Darius going out of his way to make our staff the best possible - our new "go to" place to stay when in Charlotte

"A Charlotte Gem!"

My favorite place to stay in Charlotte. Unfortunately, the elevator was not working and our room was on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was excellent but served in the ballroom instead of the dining room, so it was not as enjoyable as there were only 3 tables of guest in this huge room. My only big complaint with The Duke Mansion is that they need to upgrade their bed and bath linens to a higher quality. Both are very subpar for such a fine facility.

The Duke Mansion is so beautiful. Well kept, large room, awesome shower/bathroom. Staff was exceptional.

For the caliber of the place the breakfast they offer was horrible. The gravy was canned, biscuits were hard, pancakes had no flavor, and they use powdered eggs. We expected better from a B&B type stay.

Absolutely stunning piece of history!!! The breakfast was amazing and the rooms are beautiful. Make sure you walk the garden and check out all the photos on the wall. Well worth the money!!!
