The chalet is older, but quaint. Plenty of areas to rest, and relax. It was clean and comfortable. Our only issue was our floor sloped toward the head of the bed, which we just put our heads at the foot of the bed. Beds were comfortable- staff was friendly. We will be back.

Great place to stay for a very fair price. Not big on amenities but it has all the essentials. Very clean room and comfortable beds.

It was a beautiful view of the mountains, away from town, but easily drivable to get to restaurants. The staff were very friendly and accommodating for gluten-free food. The common area was fun too

The hot tub was out of order

After working an entire weekend with festivities in the area checking into here for some much needed rest was the best decision we made very comfortable very nice and very clean

We liked having the shared space with the pool table TV and the fireplace.

The bathroom was in very poor condition. There was mold at the bottom of the shower curtain, hair throughout the shower area—including on the curtain and towels—and it was clear the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. Additionally, the top lock on the door was broken, so we were unable to secure the room from the inside. We skipped dinner in order to check in on time and enjoy the hotel’s amenities, but the hot tub liquid and insects like mosquitoes and flies. There were no staff members available to assist us or answer any questions. To make matters worse, two men stood outside our door all evening and again early in the morning. They made us uncomfortable by asking what part of North Carolina we were from based solely on our license plate. This experience left us feeling unsafe and extremely disappointed.

The place is really convenient for Stratton Mountain, the Commune area is cute , breakfast is good and the very clean . It is very pet friendly!
