The property was great. Nice views. Had trouble with the hot tub.

My wife and I enjoyed an outstanding dinner in the restaurant of this inn. We sat at the chef's counter on a Sunday evening and appreciated the opportunity to see the chefs at work and to visit with one of them throughout the evening. James, our waiter, was personable, helpful, knowledgeable, and conscientious. He made great recommendations on a salad, two small plates, and a pizza. He also let us taste several wines which he thought would pair well with our courses. He was right. We ordered two glasses of wine each and were very pleased with our choices. The chef with whom we chatted made sure that we got a piece of their excellent blueberry-cherry pie before it sold out. Our salad with strawberries and cheese, carrots with tahini sauce, hummus with smoked duck, and pizza were all creatively prepared and delicious. We could not have asked for a better meal or overall experience. The prices were also quite reasonable for this quality of food, wine, and service. Do yourself a favor and dine at this great restaurant soon. And be sure to ask for James!

My wife and I stayed at Hill Farm Inn for one night on our way up to Middlebury, VT for a collge reunion. I had high expectations coming in based on the wonderful reviews, but Hill Farm Inn exceeded those expectations. The Inn is in an excellent, picturesque location. The staff was warm and friendly. We stayed in the main building in the Battenkill room. The farm house was impeccably renovated around 15-20 years ago and the room we stayed in was exceptional. It was incredibly relaxing. Dinner at the restaurant was one of the best we had. Breakfast in the morning at the Inn was delicious as well. We were very happy with our stay and only wished we could have stayed for longer! Hopefully we will be back in the future; we would recommend highly this establishment to anyone looking for a cozy but high-end hotel in southern VT, in fact we already have recommended it to several friends and family. Thank you for a great stay!

This was third visit to Hill Farm. We love it!! Twice in May and once in January. Both seasons were magical. Sitting by fireplace in Winter reading a book or sitting outside in Spring until the sunsets. Everything about Hill Farm is warm and welcoming.

Restaurant was so good! Everything was so fresh and tasty and the service was great and loved the old farm / Vermont atmosphere. Would definitely come back! We had the ceased, smoked green salad, pork chop, and the trout… The carrots too (best carrots we have ever had!) I could go on and on and on!
