Hill Farm Inn

We visited this property during winter with my spouse, and it was truly an unforgettable stay. Our room had a cozy fireplace which made for the perfect winter retreat, and there were even two very friendly resident cats - such a pleasant surprise! The overall cleanliness and amenities really stood out, and our room was incredibly comfortable and welcoming. While the price felt a bit on the higher side, we found the experience worth it given the top-notch service and warm atmosphere. The breakfast was decent, though it didn't quite reach the same high standard as the rest of the stay. Still, the little details - from the plush bedding to the thoughtful touches in the common areas - made our visit exceptional. If you’re looking for a charming, comfortable getaway and don’t mind spending a bit more, I highly recommend this property.

We love the house itself, we love the location and love the farm animals. We love that we can relax at the property and drive to Manchester for shopping/things to do and Stratton Mountain for skiing/snowtubing.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast and excellent accommodation.

Stayed for a few nights in the River House at Hill Farm. River House is a stand alone house under a mile away from the main inn. House was phenomenal, clean, comfortable, large and well appointed. 4 bed 5 bath, pool table, 2 sitting areas, and extra large eat in kitchen. Perfect if you’re going with your family or a group. Reserve the front half of the house as well and add another 4 bedroom and sauna. Two halves connected. Breakfast each morning only needed the short drive to the main inn but well worth it. Different options each morning were delicious Hill Farm restaurant on property was fabulous. Great options, gluten free and awesome drinks! Definitely get a reservation.

Blessed to spend three incredible nights and two gorgeous days at this beautiful inn. We had never been to Vermont prior to this trip and Hill Farm exceeded our expectations at every turn. The River House was exceptional in design and amenities; a tranquil setting near the the Battenkill River and with great mountain views. The icing on the cake was the gorgeous Vermont Fall colors. We had dinner at the restaurant and were treated with innovative cocktails and delicious five-star entrees. The staff was exceptionally professional, friendly and informative.

We loved our stay here. It was even more beautiful in person and accommodations were wonderful at the River house. Our breakfast was great with savory and sweet options daily. Our rooms were comfy and pretty with views out every window. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at their incredible restaurant onsite in a renovated raised barn being sophisticated yet casual. The menu Was surprising in the best way and the food amazing. The staff was great and offered advice on where to venture for the best experiences around the area and in the town of Manchester. This is a great place to have a wedding, retreat or any large group get together! Only wish I’d been sooner, but we’ll be back:)
