Hampton Inn Waterloo Cedar Valley

We drove 19 hours before we stopped and we were exhausted when we arrive at 11am. Jackie was very help and found us a room that was already cleaned and ready. Great Job

The hotel needs lots of work! The elevator was not working which was an issue for my handicap mother who had to make it upstairs! The bathrooms were not clean! The bed frame was busted and a metal piece was sticking out that my daughter caught her shin on! Pool was freezing! The front desk help was not friendly at all!!

Just problems with room keys not working other wise it was just fine. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance

I’m not sure if it was Orbitz or the Hampton but there were a couple issues during my stay. The Hampton tried to assess a $50 non refundable pet fee when I arrived. I made a fuss that nothing was mentioned or listed when I had paid $200 for the room ahead of time. It was dropped but it was not a nice way to begin my stay after a long drive. Also, my confirmation with Orbitz showed a checkout time of noon. The Hampton staff knocked on my door shortly after 11AM to ask if I was staying another night. I was embarrassed and apologized. Needless to say my companion and I hurriedly made an exit. Again I’m not sure who is right or wrong here but I got conflicting info and it could have been a better stay.

We got back to our room at 8:30pm and it was chilly. Turned up the heat and by 9:00pm it still wasn't working. Rhe front desk offered to check availability to move rooms but i had 2 kids with, a TON of stuff and 2 kids already sleeping. She loaded us with blankets and when we woke it was 61 degrees in the room. Not terrible but made for a cold shower! The staff was AMAZING in there help with a refund as was Expedia. This is a very dated hotel but relatively clean. They definitely need to update (especially room keys) but it got the job done for a one night stay. If we were staying any longer I'd be looking for a new place. But, again, not because of the staff. They were wonderful! It gets an additional star for the breakfast which my kids and I loved!

I was told that last fall this site would have an update. It has obviously not happened. Only one elevator was functioning. I was sent to a room that had obvious water damage--and odor!! There was damage in the hallway. The building in general was borderline clean. The parking lot had lots of debris. I have stayed here multiple times but probably won't again.

The stay was wonderful. Your staff was courteous helpful and friendly. Doug in the hospitality room was a very nice young man. He had everything stocked cleaned etc. he has a great future in the hospitality industry

I especially want to compliment Amy at the front desk who checked us in and was SO HELPFUL as we tried to figure out dinner. And please pass along compliments about Doug Gold in the dining room at breakfast. Everything was well made and tasty and he took time to chat with us and engage about our travels. We love Hampton Inn!

Jonika and Doug were a very pleasant, competent crew in the breakfast area. We enjoyed their breakfast offerings as well as friendly conversation!! They were an added special treat to an already pleasant stay! Thank you!!
