Lilac Inn

Donna and I stayed at The Lilac Inn for 3 nights. Room #5. Very nice property. The breakfast service was awesome. Muffins, fruit and three options for breakfast. Donna is not crazy about eggs; so, she had pancakes, French toast and waffles. I throughly enjoyed the omelets. There was also tea, coffee, orange juice and cranberry juice on hand. If you have a dietary restriction, they will accommodate you. The inn is very inviting and homey. We enjoyed our stay there celebrating Donna's birthday.

The Lilac is was beautiful, charming and quiet! I stayed in Room 9 because I wanted a shower. It was very private with its own hall once you entered the room. The mattress, sheets and pillows were extremely comfortable and inviting. The breakfast was delicious as well. I will certainly come back!

It was a very nice overall experience with beautiful grounds and a lot of character. If WiFi is super important to your stay be aware that you may need to use it in the lobby as our room was a distance from the router and was weak on signal strength.

Check was quick and very friendly. Town is beautiful. Restaurant recommendations were excellent.

Our team was doing a bike ride from Boston to Montreal for the Liam Foundation. The weather was horrible and we were looking for a laundromat to dry them out and get them warmed up. The closest was in Middlebury, which was 35 miles more to ride - cold, and tired, and wet. Our support team reached out to the Lilac Inn and an Angel (Ms. Robin) answered the phone. She reached out to Shelly and the Lilac dried our clothes and let our riders use the empty tavern to eat and rest up. When we reached out to Robin - she let us know that she was starting a pot of coffee for our guys. Upon arrival, the team had coffee, hot chocolate, and a warm place to eat.....Wow! Look, if Ms. Robin and Ms Shelly (the innkeeper) do this for folks that drop into their lap on a cold rainy day.....you can only imagine how they treat their guests. They went above and beyond for a bunch of strangers and we (Team Liam) will always be in their debt. It's a beautiful place with unmatched hospitality provided by actual Angels. THANK YOU LILAC INN. Thank you so much! Folks, you need to stay here. You won't be sorry.

Beautiful area and loved the Inn
