"Séjour parfait au Victoria Chau Doc Hotel"

Chambre très confortable, personnel très aimable attentionné et compétent, hôtel idéalement situé à Chau Doc au bord du fleuve avec une vue incroyable sur le Mekong et les maisons flottantes piscine agréable, petit-déjeuner très varié et excellent.Cuisine du Mékong excellente.

"Great staging location for ferry to Phnom Penh"

What a great location to stay at to get on the ferry to Phnom Penh. Breakfast starts early enough to eat before the ferry sets out. Nice views of the Mekong River.

The mosquitos come out at night so must keep the windows closed.

"Was quite nice - due to location!"

Location perfect. Room was ok.

We got off the boat after a 6 hour journey and the 2 porters from the hotel didn’t even take our bags. They helped the boat staff get everybody else's luggage from the boat, great helping, but these people were not staying at the Victoria. The cup in the room for coffee was badly cracked. The toilet didn't flush properly. We had just stayed at a $30 a night hotel in Siem Reap whose staff would put them to shame. Breakfast was just ok. We have stayed at several hotels and this one was underwhelming for the price.

"This hotel is a very functional transit hub and served us well as such."

Its location right on the ferry landing from where we were taking the boat to Phnom Penh. Just about everybody stays there for the same reason, as a transit hub for the journey up the Mekong. Indeed, the hotel reception is also the check-in desk for the boat.

The hotel is pretty faded now - it could do with a bit of sprucing up - and it’s comparatively expensive for Vietnam. The food is second-rate too, certainly compared to the generally great food we’ve had during the rest of our trip.
