Beachfront Resort

We had a WONDERFUL weekend stay! The motel was very clean and well kept! The front desk lady was very nice and very helpful. The beach area was spectacular, clean and so relaxing. Docks next door had such great food. We both were so impressed with this little hotel we will definetly be back. We loved every minute there and hated to leave!

The room did not feel clean, floor was dirty, i was charged a few dollars more than my commitment was for, staff was pleasant, advertised free breakfast but didn't find, no coffee cups for in room coffee, inside fridge dirty. I shouldn't have stayed there but it was a busy week and pickings were slim.

The staff was great and very professional and helpful. However, the listing online listed that a complimentary breakfast was included, and it was not. We had to leave the premises and purchase breakfast elsewhere. As this was one of the reasons we selected this hotel, it was very disappointing to be misled this way and frankly they owe us the $55 we had to spend eating out.

The rooms were spacious. Clean. We seem to be the only ones staying there at the moment. The weather was chilly n windy for our stay in mid april. We would for sure go back.

Decent place for the price. The staff was very accommodating. The air conditioner, jacuzzi & bathroom caused the room to have a mildew smell. Suggest bringing a fan for ventilation and drown out the noise from the train a few blocks away that seemed to run every half hour through the night. Floors are hard to keep clean due to sand all around. Nice location for the Jet Express, Docks & other restaurants in Port Clinton

Our room had 2 queen sized beds and a jacuzzi. The room was very clean as well as the refrigerator and microwave. It was tastefully decorated in a coastal theme and colors. There are no phones in the room. The bedding was clean with no sign of bugs. If you have back issues, as my daughter and I do, you may find the mattresses too soft (they are the foam kind). The room layout was odd and there is no privacy getting in and out of the shower/jacuzzi. The room opened out onto the walkway which I found very nice. No corridors or elevators to navigate. Keep in mind that if you go on the weekend, they use this for a wedding venue (very nice set up for a wedding). If you are not a member of the wedding party (which we were not), be prepared to listen to all that plus their entertainment. The beach area is right outside your door unless a wedding is booked. You still have beach access but you have to go around the wedding area (it is blocked off) to get there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was adequate parking. All in all, it was very nice, but we won't be staying again due to the too soft mattress. Hardly any sleep and a backache every morning.

If it weren’t for the location right on the lake, my ratings would’ve been lower. The room was in DESPERATE need of a good cleaning. The beds were old and the box frames were dingy. The shower was disgusting and had black mold all over the knob. There were very limited electrical outlets, one of our sinks didn’t work and the only lighting was from lamps. There was something splattered up our door and it barely locked. The outside grounds had trash all over.

Love the location and just sitting outside by the beach listening to the water. Hotel needs some upgrades and definitely bring your own pillows!

The good is we liked the beach and the deck the best. Very quiet, and nice folks work here. We stayed here one time about 20 years ago. The rooms were updated nicely since then. Now for the bad. It could be maybe slept on the same mattress this time as 20 years ago. The beds needs a better mattress. This place needs to get up to date swipe badge locks for the doors. The old fashioned Key deadbolts are not user friendly, and was difficult to lock and unlock.
