Ambiance et vue

C'est mon 2nd séjour à l'Hôtel Lagon 2. J'ai de nouveau apprécié la localisation de l'hôtel et la vue sur mer de ma chambre d'où j'entendais le bruit des vagues. Prendre son petit déjeuner en regardant l'île de Gorée et les pécheurs était un authentique plaisir. Les chambres sont spacieuses. Le personnel est toujours aussi professionnel et prévenant.

I have very high standards regarding hotels and was a little worried reading reviews about things being in bad repair. Yes many parts of the hotel need renovating, but apart from that it is a really beautiful spot with a very special atmosphere. The rooms are huge, suite size with an enormous bed and further down by the floor to ceiling windows is a sitting room area with couch. Through those windows is a small balcony with the majestic Atlantic just beyond. The view really is to die for and even listening to the sound of the waves is very soothing. The hotel is so quiet you really feel like it's just you and the ocean, wonderful serenity a mere stone throw from the bustling city centre. Everything was spotless and the room was cleaned and linen changed daily, plus bottles of water also replenished daily. The overall decor of the hotel, with the outdoor palm lined corridor to the rooms, is very atmospheric and original. The photos really don't do it justice, much prettier in reality. In addition, guests have access to the lovely private beach, plus the sunbathing terrace in the very chique Lagon 1 next door, loungers and towels provided. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant excellent for a nice evening meal. Without a doubt one of the most interesting hotels I've stayed in, reasonably priced and a great choice for a trip to Dakar.

La localisation

Il est vieillot et mérite une rénovation. La lumière du couloir inondé la salle de bain et donc la chambre toute la nuit.

L'Emplacement correspondait tout à fait mes souhaits, à la fois pratique proche du centre, calme, avec une vue belle et reposante sur la mer. Le personnel était très aimable. Le petit déjeuner et le restaurant étaient corrects.

Les balcons des chambres ne sont pas complétement utilisables. Ils sont accessibles, mais la rambarde est abimée. C'est à réparer. Avec l'air marin, certains équipements mériteraient, ont un aspect un peu vieillot (baignoire, douche) .
