Hotel Ta' Cenc & Spa

We stayed end of November - weather is still fine, but starting to reduce some services (e.g., their off site restaurant closed that day) but didn't effect our short stay. Do go to the off site restaurant (they have a shuttle or 12 euro) - food was great, view amazing, and you can swim in the sea right there! It was about 20 euros to the hotel from the ferry. Get taxi amount before getting in - didn't seem to have meters (experienced that in Malta too). Nice places to walk along the cliffs on the hotel property, though there didn't appear to be anything in the nearby neighbourhood (we walked 50 minutes one night to dinner - hotel said 20 min so maybe we went the wrong way?). If looking for a nice quiet weekend, I would recommend it! We hired our very friendly taxi driver for a tour - 50 euros for the morning.

Overall, the hotel offers a great relaxing break. The pool is great and the bar and lounge is wonderful. The room we were offered needed some upgrading: the bathroom dates back from the 90s, a chipped basin and old bath furniture really dated the suite. Nevertheless, our room was a stone's throw from the idyllic pool. And whilst a "5star" rating is maybe a little over-sold, this place is worth considering if you are able to forget the "rough around the edges" side to this great hideaway.

i would like to recommend this amazing hotel.it is something different then the others. Quiet,peace,relaxed and a good helpful staff. i have spend a weekend with my wife and son and i am very satisfied and happy.looking forward to go again.

We loved the spa pool and sauna . As the spring flowers were out it was a beautiful time to come and we impressed with the landscaping and the care taken with the gardens .

Great location and helpful friendly staff. Superb food. Only problem was the many cats around tables at breakfast and trying to get into bedrooms all the time. This needs to be addressed.

Charming situation. Bedroom renovations ill considered - poor lighting, noisy fan, bathroom not up to standard and pedestal dangerous. Restaurant and supervising staff good but waiting staff poor. Front desk surly and unhelpful.

Great Reception, relocated us to a room near the pool as my wife uses a wheelchair, super service and a great location with wonderful views of the sea and cliffs in the distance. Super to eat outside under a canopy of trees, but you need to like roaming kittens! Restaurant food is italian and really good. The hotel has two others in Gozo and they let Ta Cenc guests use their pools.There is also a beach with a bar and restaurant but strong swimmers only are encouraged to go for a dip. If travelling there with no car, get the hotel to arrange your pickup and drop-off at the airport. We will definitely return.

We had a lovely stay at Ta Cenc, the setting is perfect. Sannat is very quiet, so we're very glad we hired a car to get out in the evenings. The hotel itself just falls short of its five stars in the details. Yes, the rooms have all been renovated, but the bathrooms haven't. They're charming, but tatty and 3 star at best. The same goes for the towels & bed linen. I don't expect frayed towels and worn sheets in a bed and breakfast. And finally the food. The restaurant is setting is exquisite, but the food isn't. It certainly doesn't live up to the price. It's not bad, but not great. That said, none of these elements ruined a wonderful stay. The pool, spa & the view will remain with us long after the easily fixable details have faded from memory. Would we return? To Gozo, yes. To Ta Cenc? Only if the price came down or the standard went up.

Great quite getaway, friendly heplful staff, but a little away from beaches and sites. Unless you are happy to sit around a pool and veg, hire a car when arriving in Malta and does some site seeing

Wonderful relaxing haven in an unspoilt part of Gozo. The spa pool is idyllic, very quiet and reminiscent of a tropical lagoon. Not at all pretentious like many 5 star hotels. Everybody was relaxed, friendly and happy.
