Dayton House Resort - BW Signature Collection

Location was great

When I reserved the room on booking.com I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. The room only had one. Front desk informed me that booking.com had information wrong inline

The beach being close by and free breakfast was okay

I didn’t like the property very much it’s just a little dirty and the staff can be a bit rude at times

We were close to the beaches and shops.

It wasn’t what we paid for we paid for a beach view and didn’t get what we paid for and the room wasn’t as big as we thought and the sliding door wouldn’t lock so we didn’t feel safe the quality of the covers on the bed was terrible we thought the bed was suppose to been queen but they looked like full sizes so was disappointed about that the tissue was to hard the bathroom was very small the tv needs to be upgraded. The entire building needs an upgrade.

The most of the staff (older) employees are very pleasant.

What i did not like was in the rooms, the toilet is too small ( short) for older and taller persons that have issues with their knees. And the breakfast was thing that mostly keeps us coming back, but this year it was very disappointing with the limited variety that out or not out until we were about to leave. I even asked was more coming out and I was told no more was coming out, then when I was leaving, more was out. This happened the whole three days we were there.

Construction

The location was good. The pool/hot tub and snack/drink area were nice as well.

The parking. Awful, horrible, and frustrating. There were like four places to park all spread out. We had to park all the way in the furthest parking garage, not even next to the resort, and carry everything because there’s no room to unload it next to the resort before parking. Also the digital keys suck bad. You can’t even use them in the elevator, which you need in order to get to your floor. I think k staff should warn people that they might want to also get a physical key or end up going back down on the elevator because you couldn’t get to your floor.

The location was excellent. Being right on the beach was very convenient, and the ocean views were beautiful.

We had three adults in our room and three separate beds, but only two beds had complete bedding sets. No bedding was provided for the third bed. There was also no phone in the room to contact the front desk, so requesting additional bedding would have required driving to the reception building. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing. The selection was very limited, and there was not much to eat besides scrambled eggs and waffles. The customer service was not very welcoming, and several staff members came across as unfriendly. The pools were also underwhelming. For a resort of this size, the pools felt very small and shallow. Even though there are multiple pool areas, they seemed designed mainly for children rather than adults.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. The location was one of our favorite things about the resort. Being right on the beachfront and having a beautiful ocean view from our room made the experience even more enjoyable. The customer service was excellent, and housekeeping did a fantastic job making sure we always had fresh towels and linens while keeping the room clean throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the warm temperatures of the pools and lazy river, and the hot tub was a nice bonus. I especially enjoyed the DJ playing music in the pool area, as it created a fun atmosphere. It was also convenient having a small restaurant right by the pool where we could easily purchase snacks, food, and drinks throughout the day. Another thing we appreciated was the ample parking available across the street, as well as being able to walk to nearby shops and restaurants. The added security of needing a room key to access your floor through the elevator was also something I appreciated. The complimentary breakfast included with our reservation at The Rose Room property across the street was another highlight of our stay. The breakfast was delicious and served buffet-style, with a variety of options that changed from day to day. The waffle maker was definitely a guest favorite, and there always seemed to be a line for it. What really stood out, though, was the staff in the breakfast room. Ms. Hagar and Ms. Tina were professional, accommodating, attentive, and incredibly friendly each time we visited. They did a wonderful job making guests feel welcome and created an atmosphere that felt comfortable and inviting, almost like a home away from home. The only things I wasn’t a fan of were the bathroom layout and shower. The sink being located outside of the bathroom was a little inconvenient, and quite a bit of water accumulated on the bathroom floor while showering. I think thicker shower curtains could be a simple solution to help prevent that. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and appreciated the location, amenities, service, delicious breakfast, and beautiful beachfront setting.
