Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Portage, IN

Location was very convenient to our travel. Staff was super pleasant and accommodating.

The bathroom included a tub/shower combo which did not have a mat for the floor and no grab bar for ease of entrance/exit.

The king suite room is great for large families. Having 4 kids and a baby having the 2 queens and a king bed in a separate room allowed for the baby to nap while we were all in the room.

The pool had a film on it. It seems like the chemical balance may not be quite right. Thankfully they had showers by the pool so we could wash off when we were done, before going back to the room.

Dirty bathroom floor, dirty chair and couch upholstery, sleeper sofa was incredibly uncomfortable and could feel every spring

Our room had a dirty cloth in shower, hideaway bed had dirty sheets on it, the couch had torn fabric all over it. And the TV has 3 cracks in it.

The room and staff were nice.

Highly recommended!! I booked online initially stating that I'd be there at 9pm, I showed up several hours early. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and down to earth. There were fresh baked cookies and hot coffee/tea. It was myself and 3 kids staying for one night. I booked a queen double bed room and she said since I had kids I needed something bigger so she upgraded me to a suite for free! I paid around $150 for one night. It was a Thursday and not busy at all. The suite was so clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel pool was shocking (in a good way)! There was a nice swimming pool, a separate cute pool with a frog slide for little kids and a huge relaxing hot tub. We spent most of our time here, it was clean and the pool was heated. Breakfast is included and felt more like a self-serve restaurant, the dining area was spacious and clean. The breakfast attendant was friendly and super helpful! Check out isn't until 12 so it was nice to have a relaxing morning and not feel rushed to get out. During the morning the staff also let me borrow a phone charger because I forgot mine. I can't brag enough, highly recommended and we will return again anytime we travel to this area. Indiana Dunes (West Beach) is nearly 10 minutes away!

The only minor complaint I had is that the washer was out of order, not a huge deal... And the cookies weren't unlimited the entire time I was there! (Only joking!)
