Hôtel Champlain Vieux Québec

After doing research to be near the train station, I found this hotel and so glad I did. The location is excellent and minutes walking to Citadelle, Chateau Frontenac, the Plains of Abraham , the Cathedral , The monastery and tons of restaurants. The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious (different types )and super clean. The bed was perfect. Free coffee and tea at the front desk. You can walk to almost anything that you want to see. The breakfast has various choices ($ in case included in your booking). Will definitely go back.

This is NOT a 3 star hotel. Be ware of uneven tub...not flat. No daily housekeeping...run down furniture. Soaps are for all purposes. No real shampoo...same as body wash and hand soap.

We got called just before we checked in advising we were being changed to a different because our room had water damage. They said the other hotel was right beside them. It was actually blocks from them. We went there and they didn’t have our information, no record of a reservation. So we had to go back to the original hotel, they called the other hotel so we had to go back to the 2nd hotel again and check in. Parking suggested by the manager was terrible, massive potholes full of water and no spots available. We ended up wasting in total @3 hrs with all of this. Finally finding our own parking location. The biggest issue I had is telling us the other hotel was right beside the original hotel we booked.

Best location to all parts of Old Quebec City

Friendly staff and clean room! It’s close to all the restaurants and shops

The check in was okay. The room the AC was loud so we had to turn it off because the noise we couldn’t sleep. The shower the hot and cold water was in reverse…we found out the hard way. The breakfast was mediocre. Next time in Quebec we will pay a bit more and will stay at a bigger hotel. The price to stay at this hotel was not worth it.

It was perfect for us to by at vieux Quebec with parking. Hotel is modern, clean and pristine room and bathroom. Augmentative mirror perfect for makeup .

We booked a higher floor room for the nice view and extra space, which were both as advertised. Location is great - on a quiet street in Old Quebec and a short walk to sights and restaurants. A general store, laundry and pharmacy are around the corner and up the road. We reduced our rating as the cleanliness of our room could have been better and some furniture/fixtures were a bit worn out. Would have given 3.5 stars if Tripadvisor allowed half stars.
