Lovely location,room was spotless and so cozy Would definitely recommend

I recently stayed here with my partner and, unfortunately, we left feeling really disappointed. The grounds and the location of the manor are beautiful and well looked after, which gave us a great first impression. It’s a lovely setting, but sadly that’s where the positives ended for us. We specifically wanted a room with a bath, but were given a room with only a shower. When we raised this at reception, we were told that because we booked through Booking.com, a bath couldn’t be guaranteed. While we understand that, it was still disappointing — especially as no real alternative or solution was offered. We were told we could be moved, but that the hotel was fully booked, so we were left in a room we weren’t happy with. The room itself also fell below expectations. The curtains had visible rips and tears, the TV had no signal and the remote stopped working, and the room didn’t feel very warm or comfortable. A bottle of water was left in the room with a tray of coffee and tea, the water said 'sparkling' but clearly looked as if it's tap water filled in a posh bottle 🫤 On top of that, there were very limited gluten-free food options, which made the stay even more frustrating. Overall, while the grounds are lovely, the room quality and lack of resolution from staff meant the experience didn’t feel worth the money. Sadly, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Not enough staff, waited so long when I arrived. Not enough staff on to ban the bar. Food expensive for what it was in main restaurant. Added cost for sides, and breakfast items when you have already paid for breakfast. No welcome message for special occasions.
