Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

I had a fabulous week-long restful vacation with my 6 year old son. The location is stunning, staff is friendly and helpful, and the amenities were excellent. The hotel itself is dated but its clean. It is a great place to go if you have family. Shout out to the activities staff who were so kind to my son and played games with him, specifically Luis who is a master at the the spinning top toy! Thank you to Dreams Huatulco - I hope to be back!

We stayed for one week in a preferred room with an outdoor tub, and a very big balcony overlooking the ocean, it was a big room and having the extra space on the balcony felt very luxurious (and nice to be able to spread out our wet, bathing suits and towels, etc….There is a clothesline in the shower too.) We really enjoyed the amenities that were in the room, you will find shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion in the bathroom. We also had a Nespresso machine with cups and saucers. Bathrobes were a nice touch, we didn’t use the slippers. The mini bar isn’t huge, two different snacks and a variety of pop, a few small bottles of beer, lots of bottled water everywhere you go. We enjoyed the preferred lounge, it’s quite small, but they have a nice fresh variety of juices, coffee, snacks and a bar. It was located close to our room, so it made it easy. Other reviews have said they didn’t use it because it was far from where the room was and if you don’t go, I don’t think you’ll miss it. We loved the main buffet, we enjoyed all of the choices and making our own plates! We enjoyed sitting outside for all of our meals. Lots of people have already reviewed the ‘chair game’ so I will just say this, if you intend to spend the entire day by the pool, you will struggle to get your preferred spot. We didn’t want all day at the pool, and preferred an afternoon swim, we easily found chairs around 3pm. There are a few pools to choose from and each seemed like they had a different vibe. Make sure you go to the Mezcal tasting bar, it was very interesting and fun to taste different ones! The coffee shop has great coffee and tea, to note, the smoothie menu that shows up on your app (which you will download when you get there) is incorrect, they didn’t have any of the smoothies listed on that menu, I guess it was outdated. The app is super useful to doublecheck times when restaurants were open, see what the evening entertainment was, and to contact housekeeping for any other amenities that you need. There are a few shops across the street, so if you forget anything from home, you can buy everything from bathing suits, pharmacy, or little gifts. It’s not a big area of shopping, but a nice little walk from the hotel. Heading downtown to shop around the Town Square is incredibly easy by taxi, the area felt very safe. Concierge will make sure that the taxi heads to the right area, and you will easily find taxis to head back to the hotel. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort, very relaxing, the big standout was definitely the staff. Everybody was incredibly lovely and definitely made this trip incredible!

Pros: The beach was beautiful, the pools were nice. The kids club was a lifesaver. The spa was a nice break and very relaxing. Cons: the facility could use some updates. Peeling paint, broken elevator button and uncomfortable beds and pillows.

We spent 14 days in paradise. This hotel was fantastic!!The staff were amazing!!The food was good. The dreams, all inclusive met our expectations and then some. The staff was amazing. The food was good, and if something needed to be fixed always taken care of quickly. The resort has been there for some time, but there’s always someone working to clean fix Repair or just freshen up the building. You have to remember it is a beach resort, fights, weather, and thousands of thousands of tours every year. The beach in the ocean in front is a paradise with amazing snorkeling right at your foot. We went with our daughter and son-in-law into grandchildren, and do not regret our choice and plan to revisit this destination in the near future❤️😎 we also did two private tours through Toni Lopez Lopez, and neither disappointed with a waterfall tour privately for two of us and then all six of us for a snorkeling seven Bay tour. Our driver went out of his way to bring us to a pot of dolphins, which was an amazing experience for they recommend using them👍🏼😉

Our second visit and the only all inclusive I’ve ever re-visited. The best aspects of the resort continue to be its gorgeous beach location and the high level of service. Employees take pride in the resort and some have worked there many years. Shout out to seaside grill/oceana staff they are wonderful. The rooms are adequate but have some wear and tear. For example our balcony door didn’t function well and the furniture is showing age. The food is mostly good, I love that the package we booked allowed for unlimited à la carte dinners without having to make reservations. And no wristbands! There was minimal waiting for a table and sometimes not at all. Resort layout is great. It’s pretty low key in the evening. A show at 8 pm in the theatre or plaza (a bit too early, 830 would be better) and musicians in the lobby bar after that. There could be more shade structures at the pool and beach. You do need to be up very early to get the best spots. However, watching the sun come up over Tangolunda is a peaceful and beautiful experience so I personally did not mind having to get up early. Thank you Dreams staff for a wonderful vacation!

My wife and I recently travelled to the Dreams Resort in Huatulco for this first time this March and had the most amazing time there. The resort sits on one of the most beautiful bays we’ve ever seen. The rugged and unfettered landscape is beautiful and we never tired of taking in the wonderful vistas. Our experience here exceeded our expectations and this was largely due to the phenomenal team members at the resort who must be mentioned by name because they deserve all the credit for making our stay here so wonderful. The tireless efforts each day of the Entertainment Team assured that everyone at the resort had fun, were entertained and they kept the vibe positive and friendly! Neftali, Luis, Fernando, Nadxielii and Chris are unbelievable human beings and it was a privilege to get to know each of them during our stay. We will miss them very much. Around the pool and beach area we were very well taken care of by the wonderful friends we made Sandy, Alvaro, Eric and Imanol who always made sure we had an umbrella to shelter us from the sunshine and fresh beach towels each day. Sandy and Alvaro were extremely kind, caring and considerate and always stopped by throughout the day to chat with us and make sure we had everything we needed. We are truly grateful to have met them and to be able to share our stories with one another. We will miss seeing you every day and thank you so much for showing us such kindness we will never forget you! Restaurants and Bars We received wonderful treatment at all the Restaurants and bars, our hostesses always made us feel welcome, particularly Jael who patiently tried to teach us some Spanish each day as she showed us to our table. No matter which restaurant we dined in we received amazing service from Cecelia, Mario, Alejandra, Leonel, Antonio (Himitsu), Jesus, Alfonso, Nancy, Ricardo, Renata, Berna, Libni, Fernando, Ana and Legna. Our bartenders Guillermo, Maxinino, Alexis and Leticia knew exactly how we liked our beverages made each time we placed our order and spared a few moments of their time to teach us a little Spanish too! Our Room was always made up with beautiful flowers and petals on the bed, the lovely lady that took care of our room was Ysabel; so too was so sweet and kind to us during our stay! Thank you for making our room look so amazing. It was refreshing to come back to a newly refreshed room after a day on the beach or at the pool! The Front Desk Experience was also a pleasure especially when speaking with Alexis, Leonel and Alejandro. Shoutout to Alejandro who helped me organize a little surprise for my wife early one morning! We agree, based on the people alone, we would comeback to this resort in a heartbeat. There are so many other staff members that also work tirelessly to provide the guests with the best possible vacation and the aforementioned people are the ones that did that for us. Thank you!!!
