Victorian Inn

I liked the location as it was near my son.

My pillow which is a special orthopedic pillow was left there upon check out. I call the very next morning and am asked to call back after 10:30 to give her time to check. I call back around 3:45 or so. I am told please give me another 5 minutes and I will call you. I wait another hour and 30 minutes. I call back and I said was expecting a call in 5 minutes and before I can finish speaking she says "I know, I know, no pillow". I told her was just there yesterday, was it thrown away? "We don't have the pillow'. It was VERY uncomfortable beds, the spring kind, we had deluxe know ng room, couch was dirty and uncomfortable so neither was good for resting or sleeping. The heated pool was not heated enough to go into as it was too cold, glass was not even fogged up in the pool area. Disappointed. We will be finding other accommodations when visiting family again

coffee/tea in the room would help, no hand rails in the bathroom.

Spiders in room… drinkers and people hanging right outside our door all night.

The location

The couch was stained so badly we couldn't use it. The wall hangings had been removed and screws still in wall. The towel rack was repaired with wrong hardware and rack not secure. The toilet paper holder not secure. Many patches on several walls painted with wrong color paint. Cigarette butts on sidewalks. We checked out after 3 hrs and went home instead. We couldn't bring ourselves to stay overnight.

The furnishings/paint/flooring in the rooms and breakfast area look a little worn.

The pool was nice.

The park was not good at all. Our mirror in the room was not clean and bathroom floor not sweeped. Hallways and stairway smelt like Marijuana.

We only stayed there for the location

Noisy, right on 4 lane highway. Not a good value for the price. Would expect a place this old to be $25-$30 per night cheaper. In their defense the entire town is overpriced IMO. Lighting very bad, especially around the mirror. TV channels confusing, remote hard to navigate. Breakfast is poor at best.

Our room was awesome, with a huge, comfortable, clean bed; a desk, love seat, a lovely TV-refrigerator-storage unit, big screen TV. There was also a sectional couch which wasn't necessary or useful unless you entertained. The bathroom was small but very clean. All in all we were more than pleased plus it was only 1 block from the venue we went to.

No closet but we didn't need one for an overnight.
