Wonderfully situated walking distance to all things UNC and a haven to escape to at night! My bartender was the best for a chat (only 2 of us up late!) after long day of travel and made us feel most welcome, as did the front desk! Love the Graudates!

Beautiful hotel and so dog friendly! The basketball court is hilarious and our dog loved playing with a plush ball. The 5th floor patios (if you pick such a room) are lovely and private as well. And the whole place is beautifully decorated and right in the middle of things, you can walk everywhere. Parking is inside so you won't get wet unloading if it's raining.

1bd was a bit small and only instant coffee in the rooms. No free coffee in the lobby, which for the price would be nice. Parking is pretty pricey for where you are, though secure and in a garage.

We love chapel hill and were happy to find upscale hotel in great location at fair price

The bones of the hotel are great and it is an ideal location but I miss the caliber of the bar and the breakfast options when it was the Franklin hotel. This is picky but the decor of the graduate with backboards for headboards was a tad over the top. Sorry! Still a good value for Chapel Hill and front desk and coffee bar staff was great.

Love the location as we can walk to our favorite restaurant in Chapel Hill, Talullah's for great food! Hotel is very quiet and rooms and beds are comfortable.

No breakfast is included and you have to go outside the hotel to find a place to eat for that meal. The hotel has service for items like burgers at night but we've never tried it. The pillows are very chunky and large so we always take our own.

Very strange decor

We went to the bar for some drinks with friends from out of the country. We had a $100 gift certificate (card) that we planned to use for drinks. We had a $68 bar tab and the bartender went to run our gift card unsuccessfully. She had me go to the front desk in the lobby to reconcile the tab but they didn’t want to help me. I had to pay the bill and didn’t want to make a scene in front of my guests so I paid with a credit card and left my name, number and receipt with gift card information. I haven’t heard back in two weeks. I assume the money is gone at this point. I will not be returning to this hotel and will encourage others I know to avoid this hotel as well. Unfriendly staff unwilling to assist made this experience horrible.
