Franklin Suite Hotel

First off I never got the room in booked. I asked for 2, queens only got one queen but since I was solo was not a big deal. We were never informed of the construction. There was construction right above my room until 11pm. I had to work early so this was less than ideal. I ended up calling the desk to tell them to stop but they didn’t stop until 11pm. I was not super impressed. I get you have to do construction but it should stop at a certain time and should be informed ahead of time.

Internet cannot be used, extremely slow. The heating did not work, although it was +4C outside. The room was not heated.

The room was fantastic and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Plan on staying here again next time Im there

Been using the hotel for techs coming in for jobs and it’s been accommodating for our needs, rooms are clean and good location

Property had renovations going and did not mention this . It was major renos right above the room i was supposed to be staying in . I explained that i worked nightshift from 6 pm to 6am and could not sleep during the renovations . They did not have another room available

Nice stuff, breakfast not good enough, changed room in second night due to too close to highway which means loud at night, fast cool and heat, comfort bed. They are doing renovations on top two floor means if you stay at floor 3, will be loud before 6pm during day time.

Room and service was amazing. Room was awesome. Wish we could turn down the heat….it was hot and locked on at 22C Don’t use the underground parking if you have a low vehicle. It’s a steep drop and not a low grade entrance. No warning and car did take some damage but was able to back out before more serious damage done. Advised them they should warn people and was told oh well there is a sign. Sign does not say steep decline or drop off, just says low grade.

Fort McMurray is Alberta’s Oil Patch. The Hotel is located near the river and MacDonald Island. Pretty good location downtown. The staff was very nice and my room was large and clean with a comfy bed. I’d stay here again. Breakfast was good.

Room fridge noise was so loud, couldn’t sleep well due to noise.
