Check in was good,room was clean but was an old building with old bathroom .a/c was very noisy.

We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings at the Westover Inn, yet it was so close to the town! The lady at the front desk was very helpful! We highly recommend you check out the Snapping Turtle for coffee & breakfast as well as Naina's Indian Kitchen & Grill. It was the best Indian food we've ever had!

The shower was very slippery and it needed a senior handrail

Very Disappointing Experience – Avoid This Hotel We booked what was advertised as a king room with a balcony, 250 sq. ft., bright and spacious, as shown in the booking photos. Upon arrival, we were given a completely different room — no balcony, much smaller, and nothing like the pictures. When I raised this at the front desk, the receptionist said they “always have issues with Booking.com” and couldn’t do anything because this was the last available room. She said we could speak to the manager in the morning. The room itself was very uncomfortable. The AC was a noisy window unit that made it impossible to sleep. The next morning, we discovered there was no hot water and barely any water pressure — we couldn’t even take a shower. When I asked for help, the manager arrived and, to my shock, accused me of “bullying” the receptionist the night before — something that never happened. She eventually checked the room herself, confirmed the water issue, and called a technician, but nothing was fixed. We ended up leaving the hotel without being able to shower, with a room nothing like what we booked, and having been wrongly accused of mistreating staff. This stay was completely unacceptable — wrong room, false advertising, no basic amenities, and unprofessional management. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Clean, updated room (new floor, furniture and fixtures). The Inn has a lot of charm and history, which adds to the appeal of the place. There were comfortable places to sit at the Inn (eg patio) and the staff was helpful. The Inn could do with a bit more TLC (eg repaved driveway, landscaping ) but it does not detract from the stay. The Inn was a short, pleasant walk from downtown- we will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Stratford.

I was given a room in one of their ancillary buildings rather than the main inn. The front desk staff at check-in were friendly, but that was the highlight. The booking photos show charming, character-filled rooms in the main building; my room in the ancillary building was dull and cookie-cutter. A few house centipedes (I counted 4 in the span of 12hrs) kept me company (a couple in my washroom), which was not part of the charm I was hoping for. The biggest frustration: you can’t check out before 8 a.m. because the building is locked, and there’s no drop box for keys. I like to be on the road by 7, so this was a frustration. I didn’t use the pool or eat in the dining room, so I can’t comment on those amenities.

Staff were fabulous. Location great.
