A Beach Retreat

This area was nice, walking distance to two great restaurants. Unit was in the back of the beach but it was visible and you could sit on the patio and have beachfront view. Very nice In the unit- the floor was so dirty not with sand but dirty! If you didn’t keep the fan running it was really damp. The couch was really worn out! Very low water pressure. All minor things but fir the price I was expecting it to be really nice

We loved A Beach Retreat , full of old Florida charm , clean , friendly and few steps to beach and heated pool. Entire family enjoyed this trip with my kids and grandkids, will definitely return !

Cute hotel, but a lot to be desired for the location and price. Fail: I always wipe down surfaces upon arrival, check bedding, etc - the kitchen countertop was dirty, the placemats and TV remotes oily/dusty, and the bed quilts had various unsightly stains (eww). Win: The staff was great!! One quilt was replaced (the other bed wasn’t being used, but both quilts were removed for cleaning). Fail: As a beach resort, it was disappointing no beach / pool towels were provided (if people nip them, charge the room, or simply check the towels in/out). Win: Some small beach chairs available. Fail: zero room amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion). While I dislike the waste created by these (and always appreciate protecting the environment), these small items are standard conveniences (sometimes necessities) at even the most basic hotels, so at this price point they could at least offer them on request (at no charge). Even better, while promoting local vendors! 3.5 / 5, overall

Great place on the beach!

Location was excellent. Right on the beach. Walkable restaurants nearby. Room had everything we needed for our stay. Room was clean but dated.

The shower tower with multiple jets and waterfall feature was special. You can walk to a local convenience store and a pizza place. Stop at Publix about a mile before. The bed was comfortable. All necessary kitchen supplies are available.

The property is undergoing renovations, understandably, however noise started by 7am and went to early evening. I came to relax/rest and couldn’t nap during afternoons due to noise. Staff great, room clean, love this place. Could have been for worned about Reno noise.

Nice location. We had the 1 bed ground floor. Newly remodeled. Individually owned units with an office that can book and take care of issues. Like a condo but not. WiFi didn’t work for us the whole time there. They tried to fix it. Verizon data service was weak for us. Bedside phone charging was hard. Needed to ask for extension cord to plug behind bed. It was a pain that way. Office was closed Sunday but the sign on office said open 7 days a week. So there were some things that took a few days to straightens out. Office gal was nice. Maintenance man was nice. Location on beach was great.

It’s just gorgeous

IA wonderful old Florida hotel right on the beach. The room was spacious and had everything for a pleasant stay. A comfortable bed, a nice kitchen and a large shower, parking in front and a very short stroll to the beach made for a great stay.
